Chris Daughtry Sings National Anthem for NFC Championship Game
January 21, 2007 by Jason
Just sitting here getting ready to watch the NFC Championship game and they announce that Chris Daughtry was going to sing the National Anthem. He walked to the center field in a leather coat and Chicago Bears scarf.
He did a great job, infused it with his rocker voice and made it his own without embelishing far too much and just making it annoying.
Great job Chris!

Agree, Chris was amazing!
If this guy sucked any more he’d be Ryan Seacrest.
Agreee! Mr Daughtry sang that song we have all heard a thousand times. But never like that. Made me cry. Made himself cry. OK now where can I download a copy?? -izzy v
I missed the song and would like to know were I can see it?????
Ugh, how did I miss that? I’m with Izzy–where can we download it?
kk

Watch closely when he hits the “land of the brave” part, the tear rolls out of his right eye.
I think Chris did an amazing job
singing the National Anthem at the
NFC championship game. And I loved
it even more that he was singing it
in Chicago (my hometown) when my
favorite football team, the BEARS
were playing. Great game! GO BEARS!!!
p.s. Does anyone know when Chris is
coming to Chicago on tour?????
