Clay Aiken Dating Broadway Star Reed Kelly?

December 10, 2008 by Jeanne

2008 Rosie's Gala

I’m reading reports all over the place that Clay Aiken is dating Broadway dancer, Reed Kelly.  There’s a picture of them together here.

Apparently, an "insider" spilled the beans and said: "Everybody knows Reed as Clay’s guy.  Clay met him when he was doing Spamalot in early 2008, and that’s one of the reasons he came back to the show again."

Wow.  Could Clay be getting cozy with the Wicked cast member?  I hope so.  This year has been full of life changes for Clay and I’m hoping 2009 will translate into a year of happiness for the American Idol star.

I hope so too Jeanne. He deserves to be happy. Contrary to what is being reported about the claymates being unhappy with this turn of events, they, for the most part, are all thrilled for Clay and think Reed is hawt!! lol

Clay hasn’t confirmed it, but it’s probably true & if so, that’s wonderful. Two years ago, Clay wrote the most heartwrenching song about how hard it is to find true love & how alone he felt. I’d love to think he’s finally found someone as sweet & generous as he. But don’t believe everything you read in that tabloid article. They’ve made a lot of it up, insinuating that Jaymes has abandoned her baby to Clay, Reed & a nanny. That is complete baloney & highly insulting to a woman who risked a lot to have a much wanted child at 50.

Now that Clay has stated he is gay,I hope this rumor is true.Everyone who wants to be in a relationship should hopefully find someone to love.Maybe now Ryan Seacrest will come out of the closet along with some others who are still in hiding. The pressure was put on Clay for almost five yrs. to come out.Why hasn’t the pressure been put on others?

Pepper, honestly, I wouldn’t want to see others subjected to what Clay was. A person shouldn’t be asked in the first place, and beyond that, it should ALWAYS be on their time table when/if they “come out”. The media sucks, honestly. Actually, society as whole should step back…it’s no one’s business what someone’s private life is.. and yes, I get that I posted that on what is essentially a gossip blog! Albeit, a very demure and nice one that tries to remain positive.:-)

Good for Clay, though. That Reed is pretty but seems like he’s got a wise soul. Awesome.

I hope Clay has found someone, but I wouldn’t put any stock in a rumor from an “insider” or “a source”. It will have to come from Clay.
As for the other rumor about his fans being upset, that’s laughable. The overwhelming majority of his fans love him and want him to be happy. He’s a wonderful man with a caring heart. Not to mention he’s hot. Gay or straight, makes no difference.

Clay has made a wonderful choice in Reed Kelly (and Reed Kelly in choosing Clay). They both seem to be very successful in what they are passionate about and clearly have heaps of talent between them!

They make a very attractive couple and they both seem like normal, down-to-Earth guys. They set a good example of what the new generation of young gays should look up to. They are not out running around being crazy, they are just enjoying each other and living their lives. I feel that is commendable.

It’s about time we have a couple that isn’t all “Hollywood”. They seem real and I respect that.

It’s their business and no one else knows what is really going on. I respect both of them for their talent and for being who they are without trying to make a circus out of anything. Leave that to the media, because you know the media can’t help themselves.

I have followed Clay for a time now and the guy does his own thing despite the media. He is paving his own way. He deserves happiness and respect for what he has been put through. I hope he gets it.

The songs Lover All Alone, The Real Me and Falling tell the story to me. It’s a shame his label didn’t promote his last album. It is awesome

I actual competed against Reed in dance competitions back before he graduated high school. He is an amazing dancer and was always very humble and friendly and I am glad he has found someone (if it’s true).

It is no one’s business! Are you asked all the time about your private life and business?!
