Clay Aiken Was Great on “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?”

Clay Aiken did really well during his appearance on the celebrity edition of “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?”
Clay breezed through the first round of questions, and walked away with $300,000 for the Bubel Aiken Foundation. Aside from the impressive lump of cash Clay took home for the BAF’s programs, the most priceless moment of the show was when they brought out Clay’s 5th grade teacher, Mr. Armstrong. Clay’s bewildered face said it all … WOW!
That was fantastic. I got these pics from Clay’s Daily Double but I taped it so if you want more, let me know!

Great Job Clay! Many children with special needs will benefit from your appearance. You also made many people aware of The Bubel-Aiken Foundation which should provide even more kids the opportunity to participate in the summer camps.
I really enjoyed your interaction with the children on the show. I hope you had as good a time as it seemed.

It is a shame he did not go on, but I can see why he stopped, there are a lot of children that will be helped by 30 camps, if he were playing for himself, he would probably have gone for it….and won.
Lets see how the others do. Tony hawk gets a full hour, and Kelly Pickler and Billy Bush share an hour - so does anyone know what happened ti the Miss USA - did she tank so much they canned her show?

I saw the show and loved it. Clay was so funny and great with the kids. I would have loved for Clay to go forward in the competition, but I understand why he was cautious for his charity which obviously means so much to him. He’s really a great guy.

Clay really did do a great job and I think he did the right thing by stopping. He helped a lot of kids who need it!

My husband set the time incorrectly and didn’t get more than the last minute of the show. Can you send me a link or something to my email of the full program? I’d SO appreciate it!! Thanks. Anna

psbintl,
I can’t get it because I’m a Canadian and we’re neglected up here. I have to be in the USA to be able to view it. I guess I’ll have to spend a night in the States soon! LOL
Thanks for the help, though.

Just love Clay, loved watching Clay on the show. He is such a great talent with a wonderful personality, and now he’s proved to the world that he’s smart too. Just wished he could’ve gone on because he probably would have won the million, noticed how he got all the questions right. But I can understand that he wanted to play it safe. Way to go Clay!

I wanted Clay to go all the way because I believe he would have been able to win it all. Having said that, Clay is not a gambler and he wouldn’t gamble with children’s opportunities to be included.
Gotta love that man!

I messed up at recording the first celebrity edition as well. I am missing the last segment with Clay and the first segment with Regis Philbin. Also, the Canadian channel that airs 5th Grader here aired the last show with the old class on the day the first show with the new class aired on Fox. Do you know how I can obtain a copy of Regis’ show and the first show with the new class?
