This is a sad story but it’s nice to see that an American Idol contestant is helping out. A phone call with Constantine Maroulis is being auctioned on eBay right now! Here’s the scoop from over on Reality Exploits:

Constantine joined the other reality TV celebrities helping Howie Gordon of Big Brother raise money for The Rabekah Fund . The bids at this moment for a phone call from Constantine are at $2.025. WOW!! I know he’s super hot, but that’s a lot of cash for a phone call!

And luckily, Constantine is not the only reality star to get big bucks for a phone call. Here are some of the other big-ticket auctions for The Rabekah Fund:

Chilltwon, aka Dr. Will Kirby & Mike “Boogie” Malin got a total donation of $530 for their phone call.

Big Brother All-Star Alison Irwin still has an open auction and it’s up to $152.50.

Big Brother 8’s Jessica is open at a current bid of $177.50 (I assume it’s after she’s out of the Big Brother house…

There are still a number of autographs, photos, memorabilia, phone calls (Including one from Lance Bass!) and other great items from your favorite reality Tv stars up for bid…so go place your bids now!!

It’s become a big fundraising event for a very worthy cause, so everybody go bid, bid, BID! And remember, the proceeds go to The Rabekah Fund, to help allay the medical costs for a 4-year-old little girl with an inoperable brain tumor. Good luck to you all!!

Constantine is a very caring man..especially when it comes to sick kids! I was in attendance recently at a special fundraiser for Autism Speaks where he was the celebrity guest to help with fundraising; the parents of one of the autistic children spoke about how his music and nurturing of their very young son has brought much joy to the whole family. I also was in the audience at one of his Off Broadway performances and sat next to a young girl whom he helped through Make A Wish Foundation; both she and her mom attribute much of her new health to her “Idol” who is now one of her best friends.
I’m happy to see Constantine get some recognition for this very private side of a very deserving Artist-Humanitarian Award winner of 2006.
