David Archuleta Assumed Adam Lambert Was Gay

American Idol season 7 runner-up, David Archuleta, wasn’t shocked when his season 8 counterpart, Adam Lambert, officially came out of the closet in a Rolling Stone interview.
While he was performing at the Children Uniting Nations gala in Washington, DC, he said: “I don’t think it was a big surprise. I don’t think he was trying to be all sneaky and secret about it. I’m sure he was happy with who he was and stuff, it’s not like he was ashamed. I just kind of assumed it, I think everyone else did too. I don’t think it’s a bad thing or anything.”
Archie went on to say some other positive things about Lambert: “He seems really confident when he’s onstage, but I don’t think it comes across as cocky or anything, and when I talked to him it seemed like he was appreciating everything that was going on and he was really grateful for those opportunities that he had.”
A lot of people, including myself, were surprised with how detailed and open Adam was when he finally addressed the issue of his sexuality but Archie took a very mature and laid-back stance on it: “I know it’s always interesting and surprising and shocking [to people] when they say those things but that’s up to them, it’s their lives.”
I already loved David Archuleta but I downright adore him now. I think that was amazing and is just another example of the support Adam has been getting from his fellow Idol alumni. Even this year’s winner, Kris Lambert, said he was “flattered” when he head that Adam had a crush on his during the competition.
Anyway, it’s Friday and I think we can all use a little more Archie in our lives. Here’s a video of him performing at the Children Uniting Nations event.

Right from the first time I witnessed the VOICE, and up till now, David Archuleta has shown a CLASS that many of us could learn from.
David’s true fans know he is SO much more than “that kid from American Idol”. I’m looking forward to the day I can say, “I told you so”! This will happen the day he is taken seriously as a musical genius.

This interveiw shows how David always sees the positive in every situation and in all people. He is truly an amazing young man with a good heart. His rendition of Prayer of the Children was glorious and shows once again what a talented musician he is.

I loved that performance. David A. can sing boy……..I heard he is doing a Christmas album and another album due out in Jan. 2010. Can’t wait to get my hands on that Christmas album. Also, I just bought a fanpack he has on itunes that has A Thousand Miles (which is beautiful), a dance song called Zero Gravity and it is so good, and the video of a live performance of Touch My Hands…loved it. You can also buy the songs as singles….go check it out. I buy anything I can get my hands on from this boy. His voice is amazing.
David Archuleta is one very classy guy and his vocals are superb! Was waiting to hear Prayer of the children and am now picking up his fan pack on itunes featuring A Thousand Miles, Zero Gravity (see him perform this live if you can)and the video version for Touch My Hand. Way to go David!
David had only nice things to say about Adam. But he is just a nice guy. I loved this performance it is just breathtaking. How many people can sing like that a capello? And a standing O which he deserved. He is so amazing and his voice is just beautiful!

David promoting yet another charity, what a generous and caring young man! He’s only 18 and has already raised a significant amount funds & brought attention to so many worthy causes. He’s always so positive and sees the good in everyone, such a sweetheart!
What a gift…to be able to sing a capella so amazing well.Is there any doubt about this guy’s talent??? Inspirational songs and self admitted message songs really suite him.

If David wants to be the President of the United States of America someday, I will vote for him. He is the most down to earth, sincere and caring guy. Watch out how he grows as an artist and human being. He will deliver the power of music only in a positive way throughout his life.
This is a beautiful, moving performance by one of the most talented young men I’ve ever witnessed! He never ceases to amaze me with every new day! His journey has just begun and we have many years of his musical genius to look forward to. He once said that his fans are on this journey right along with him.

I have always loved David Archuleta, he is so sweet, handsome and gifted. Every time he sings, my eyes tear up.
I think since he’s also gay, it wasn’t assumption it was gaydar. He has nothing wrong with it bcuz its evident that no Mormon would choose something like that…but most of Mormonism…
