David Archuleta’s "Crush" - Love it or Hate it?
It’s every David Archuleta fan’s dream - the teen heartthrob is singing about having a crush on someone!!! I want to know what everyone thinks of the song. I actually really like it but I think that, on its’ own, the song isn’t all that great but his voice totally redeems the song’s faults.

David Archuleta has nailed it his first time around! I’m no teenybopper but this song upon listening time after time grabs you and doesn’t let you go. I absolutely can’t wait for his album in November. I WILL buy Crush and his upcoming music whatever it is because he does not fail to deliver. This boy is going INTERNATIONAL. His voice is phenomenal and he is growing up right before our eyes—what a ride! Ladies, you know what I’m talking about. He is a cutie-pie with a light shining bright in today’s world. Keep it up gorgeous.

I think the song is good, he does a great job vocally. When it aired for the first time on Y100 in NY they had David there and had callers call in to say what they thought and he got raving reviews. Everyone loves it and the little girls would say how he knew exactly how they felt but when they went back to David he, to me, ruined the moment by saying he didn’t write the song, lol. They definitely need to train him on how to do interviews. It doesn’t take anything away from him as an artist but I just thought that was a bad time to say oh well I didn’t write it . So, to me, it was almost like a slap in the face to the little girls on the phone saying he knows me and what I’m going or went through, when in actuality he doesn’t. I really can’t wait to hear the songs that he himself writes. In the interview he did talk about writing and singing a latin song in Spanish and everyone swooned, LOL. He’s a great kid, he really is.

well…i am from china..and i got the song from a friend in us.actually, i dont like the song itself.
i dont think this song can showcase his vocal.
i like the purity in his voice. anyway, i luv the song…arichie is damn sweet!

I love the song. It is so catchy and the chorus us amazingly addictive… makes me feel good to listen. David’s voice definitely sells the song.
As for the Z100 interview: I heard it. I think it is just David’s nature to be honest, and he wouldn’t want to take credit for writing a song that he didn’t write. I doubt that his young fans minded — he didn’t say he’d never FELT a crush — only that he didn’t write the song.
I’m sure he’s had crushes. He’s just too shy to talk about it. And he does deserve some privacy, right fans?

Who the hell cares if he didn’t write it… and you people sayin that “just because he didn’t write it, he doesn’t know a thing about crushes oh boo hoo”
I am sure that by his age he would have experienced AT LEAST one crush. And if he didn’t understand the song, how could he connect with it so well? Give him a break.
