Huh. This rumor about American Idol star, David Cook, and So You Think You Can Dance contestant, Lacey Schwimmer, is getting more detailed. CelebTV seems to have info about a “first date.” Watch for yourself!

I can’t imagine that he even has time to date! They keep them pretty busy on Idol.
I’m all for him finding romance, but I want him to win, too (!), so I hope he continues to focus on the show.
and on the results show he was asked the question if he was single and he very strongly said yes into the camera…hmmm…..
She’s not a very good girl by the way she dances, I think David needs someone that won’t cheat on him and she looks like a cheater…pfft and I’m jealous as hell…cause I think i’d make a way better girlfriend for him lol
and yeh he clearly said he was single…so I guess they didn’t really hit it off well..
Either he lied and said “Yes” so as not to deter the tons of young girls who could possibly vote for him and keep everything thinking he’s available, or this “newsflash” is BS and he really is single. But most of the guys in show business or the music industry lie about their relationship status to keep the fans who think they have a chance.
Wow. She looks like a transvestite. Technically I’m jealous but it would make me a feel a lot better if she was at least attractive.
P.S. I’d like to rip the clothes right off of him.
To Tara: Lacey is a Latin Ballroom dancer. She is exposed to dance like that.
I can’t say if I believe they are couple, but David C. is my fav from this season of AI and Lacey was my fav from last season of SYTYCD!
All I can say is…..personally I don’t find her all that attractive….but if that’s his tastes, well, that’s his taste. It would disappoint me if he was lying, that show is supposed to be live. The days of lying about being in a relationship are long gone, and I would hope he didn’t lie when he said he was singe, especially since he made a big deal out of it (What camera do I look in, etc.). He should know that he can get by on his talent. Years ago they used to make all the bands and teen idols lie about having a gf because they thought it would damage their fan base. She was the one he was dancing with in that number they did with the dancers, she was the one behind him when he shook his hips. Guess she’s teaching him how to dance, he said he didn’t know how LOL.
Oh, and a PS (Sorry LOL), if he IS sneaking out or his motivation is taking a turn, then he’s not worth voting for. I don’t think fan votes should support someone who’s either lying, or sneaking out and breaking curfew, he’s 25 not 15.
I agree with……..Lacey-fan. but my fav from sytycd last season was Neil.

uh god im gonna be so pissed if he was lying when he sed he was single hes my fav on idol this year but that can def. change if hes lying… any1 kno if they’re still doing the thing where u can ask them questions cuz they didnt do it tonight and it would be a great chance to ask him if anythings going on between them…
Good grief people – going to some place called “Doughboy’s” does not the guy is in a relationship (although I doubt even that much is true) – of course he said he’s single! Neither does exchanging phone numbers. This is a bunch of bull that started with that stupid OK! magazine article. Now all these other articles are popping up but they all say the exact same thing – all this information from these “sources” comes from that dumb mag. They haven’t come up with anything new since they came up with this lame story.
Same thing happened to Chris Richardson last time. I knew CR’s girlfriend of 4 years back home (she lived in Maryland; they met at Hooters) and she was so upset by all the fan sites with women openly lusting for her man & saying mean things about her. Then the tabs claimed CR was seeing some starlet — it wasn’t true, just the publicity machine at work. CR and his girlfriend decided to break up because of all the pressure & his pursuing his career in LA. Since all this info is coming from Lacey’s publicist, I would take it with a grain of salt. I wouldn’t be surprised if they went out once, she went for the publicity & he walked away from it (she used him to bolster her career at the expense of his, after all). Or the whole thing could just be AI PR story to underscore his interest in women & his availability. I have to believe that it is almost impossible to pursue ANY kind of relationship while the show is going on. His own brother (the healthy one) with whom he is very close came out to see him and said that in 4 days he & his mother were able to see his brother for 2 hours. Lust away, girls — and hope DC doesn’t turn into the John Maher of dating.
I think this is just some rumour to sell papers. But I’m not David so I wouldn’t know. I don’t really think that they have the time to date because David is so caught up with Idol, his bro, etc. A girlfriend would just make his life more complicated. And, she’s 19 come on! If OK wants to make a lie, they have to make it SOMEWHAT believable.
The one dancing with his hips was not lacey but rather LAUREn. god you people are blind.

Does it really matter? Even if he doesn’t win, he’ll get a recording contract…..so he’s in a win/win situation. I don’t really care about this Lacey person. What pisses me off is Archuletta singing the wrong lyrics to the song (that he was banned from singing, but he listened to his dad instead) and I think there should be some sort of penalty. All the other contestants have been nailed for missing lyrics, getting them wrong, etc., but David A. can get away with it? I think this show is fixed!
He is dating a girl in Hollywood that likes to hobnob with the stars, Ruthanne Gibson. She used to date Nathan Fillian, David Slade and Charlie Sheen to name a few.

David Cook was on Regis and Kelly today and said that he had recently went on a date with Kimberly Caldwell from American Idol Season 2. By the way he talked, they are not in a relationship, they just went out. He said they would probably hang out again. But we all know that he will stay focused on his music for now and not get into any serious relationships. I can’t wait for his CD to be released. GO DAVID COOK!!!!!
David and Kimberly were filmed on their date to the steakhouse he was talking about. The paps asked if they were going to be going out and DC said “Yeah” as he held the door open for her. One thing made me laugh – wouldn’t it suck to be introduced (as they were) as “the American Idol winner and the American Idol loser”. Ugh, that would suck. Kimberly probably understands what he’s going through more than anyone else, I just hope it’s sincere and not another way to get her name back in the news.
