David Cook on Christmas at Rockefeller Center

December 4, 2008 by Jeanne

David Cook performed on last night’s Christmas at Rockefeller Center special.  He chose to sing John Lennon’s "Happy Xmas (War is Over)" which I think really suited his voice.  I’m never a big fan of anyone covering it so I wasn’t exactly thrilled but he did a good job.  Watch him sing it here:

Hosts, Al Roker and Jane Krakowski, joked about David Cook winning American Idol with 55 million votes in comparison to the 68 million Barack Obama received to win the U.S. presidency.  That’s crazy!  He also sang "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas."  I thought it was great!
