David Cook Wins American Idol Season 7!

Rocker David Cook has been crowned the winner of the seventh season of American Idol with 56% of the vote. He was overcome with emotion as the news of his victory sank in. He also performed the winner’s song “Time of My Life.”

Nothing against Archuleta – the kid is a great talent, class act, and could’ve just as easily won it tonight – but what was with his dad mouthing “it’s rigged” as the camera passed by… Dad could stand to learn some grace and humility from his kid.

I’m so surprised DC won! I’m happy but I really thought Archie was going to take it. I really hope Ai let’s DC do his own thing and don’t restrain him too much. Wow
Yeah DA’s dad needs to learn a thing or 2 from his son for sure…that’s so sad he did that…guess the “rumors” are true.
I love David Cook and I’m so glad he won. I haven’t been this into American Idol in a long time. Great singers this year and a really deserving winner. Congratulations David Cook.
Wowwowwow was I amazed and wonderfully excited that David Cook won!!! I was happier than ever! I was like 100% sure Archie had it, but then when he said David Cook, I screamed and celebrated. You have no idea what a great career he will have. I’m sooo happy for him. However, Archie will deff. get a GREAT record deal.

3 davids i love..Cook,Archuleta & Hernandez. Hell,who cares about their background,the point is they wanted to change their life through singing. Not only them,other contestants,too.Everybody wants to be a winner.Guess,nobody’s perfect,eh?My Congratz to DC & others who had entertained us throughout the season so far& directly to the final.
Now that it’s over,sure going to miss them a lot…T_T
I am so thrilled that David Cook won! I LOVE the winner’s song. This is the first year that I’ve actually liked it without needing it to grow on me for a few months.
I think probably because David Cook sung it so beautifully.
This was a great season.

I really wanted Archie to win. Don’t get me wrong, i like Cook, but Arch just has such grace about him. He seems like a real nice guy.
It’s so nice that he’s still backing his father even though everyone else isn’t.
