David Cook’s Homecoming Pictures and Video!

American Idol season 7 Top 3 contestant, David Cook, went home to Kansas City where he threw out the first pitch at the Kansas City Royals home game and also sang “Take Me Out To The Ball Game” during the seventh inning stretch. I heard that he was asked to sing the national anthem but a group of 25 children from a nearby elementary school were already booked to sing it and, rather than make them reschedule, he chose to take the “other” song.
He also performed at the Metro North Mall (click on the images to enlarge). Did anyone get a chance to personally attend any of these events? Would love to hear from you!

I was at the High School. There were 10,000 tickets to just the high school event that went in 6 hours. The down town performance also had a few thousand people. David performed the foo fighters song “There goes my hero” at my event and the video is on youtube. The ticket sales at the Roayls baseball game jumped by 3000 after it was announced DC would be there. We are hungry for a winner in KC. This guy is well known around here and he and his family are much respected.
I thought it was really awesome that he chose to sing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” just so the other kids could sing the national anthem.
He’s a really talented singer and I love him so much I hope that he wins on Wednesday. I hope to meet him and hopefully marry him. I wish I could have gone to Prom with him. Love Ya and bye
