DeGarmo to Join Cast of Off-Broadway’s Toxic Avenger

Diana DeGarmo is one busy lady! I just wrote a post about her stint as the narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and now it’s been announced that she will join the cast of Off-Broadway’s The Toxic Avenger in August.
I know that Diana is going to be amazing as Sarah, "the sexy, blind librarian." In a statement, she said: "I am so excited to be coming back to New York to join the cast of The Toxic Avenger. When I saw the show, I laughed my head off. I can’t wait to start rehearsal – and to be blonde again!"
Diana makes her debut on August 14, 2009 at New World Stages which is located in Manhattan. For more details about the show, location and tickets www.TheToxicAvengerMusical.com.
I love Diana with her dark hair but she’s also beautiful as a blonde! Is anyone going to this show? I’d love to hear about it!
Wow!! Great news about Diana DeGarmo going back to New York next month to be in the Toxic Avenger. I thought Diana was just terrific in Hairspray when she was in New York.
The Toxic Avenger sounds like a great show and Diana DeGarmo will be terrific in the show. Can’t wait until August when she makes her debut in the show.
Diana DeGarmo is always excellent in her theater shows. She will be great in the Toxic Avenger. It is great that she will be blonde again for the part.

Today, Sunday, September 27, 2009, Diana DeGarmo appeared at the Broadway Cares Flea Market for a greet and meet autograph session at the Roseland Ballroom in New York. At the session, Diana was seated next to: Danny Burstein, who was nominated for a 2008 Tony Award for his work in South Pacific and she was also seated next to Alice Ripley, a Tony Award winning actress some of her work includes the Rocky Horror Show and Sunset Blvd. At the session, Diana also got to meet Bobbie Eakes an actress best known for her work in the Bold and the Beautiful and All My Children. Diana also got to spend time with American Idol Alumni Constantine Maroules and Gavin Creel.
Definitely go see Diana DeGarmo in the Toxic Avenger in New York, she will be with the show through February 2010.

Diana DeGarmo will be starring in a new show this Tuesday, September 29, 2009 called Liberty. The show is a new theater show in development for summer 2010. This Tuesday’s show will be a sneak preview. According to Diana’s Twitter page she has been hard at work in rehearsals for this coming show on Tuesday. She has also been keeping very busy with her shows for the Toxic Avenger. Diana will be with the Toxic Avenger through February 2010.

Diana DeGarmo was terrific in Tuesday night’s Liberty show. Diana posted on her Twitter page today that she met Rosie O’Donnell at last nights Toxic Avenger show. The Toxic Avenger is the theatre show that Diana is starring in out in New York through February 2010.
Diana DeGarmo and the cast of the Toxic Avenger celebrated their 200th show on Friday, October 2nd. The Toxic Avenger opened off Broadway in 2006 and celebrated their 200th show this past Friday. Way to go Diana and the cast of the Toxic Avenger.

The National Examiner gave the Toxic Avenger a great review on October 23, 2009. The part about Diana DeGarmo in the review. Toxic has a perfect cast including a recent addition American Idol finalist Diana DeGarmo, who is innocent and slutty all at once. And the little lady has a great big voice. Diana has definitely been getting great reviews for her acting in the smash hit play the Toxic Avenger now playing in New York.

The halloween party Red Carpet will be hosted by Anita Buffem and Gina Marie Rattale with a special performance by Julie Brown. Diana DeGarmo will definitely have a great time at this event, she is thinking of going as Salena. A great costume, she will be great.

Via Playbill, it seems the musical adaptation of 1976 horror movie “Carrie” may be coming to Broadway, an “American Idol” in tow. Diana DeGarmo has been cast as “Chris” for this industry reading/performance. Chris is the girl who masterminds Carrie’s fake Prom Queen win and subsequent pig’s blood shower. Why, Diana DeGarmo!
