American Idol season three runner-up, Diana DeGarmo, performed her new single “Right Back Where We Ended” on American Idol Extra. I want to know what you think of the single! I like the song but I’m not completely in love with this performance. Oh well, when a song is new the artist is just getting a feel for it so it’s probably that. Did anyone watch her on Gone Country?

I loved Diana on “Gone Country” and felt she had the best talent out of everyone by a long shot. I’m glad to know that John Rich decided to produce this song for Diana even though he did not pick her as the winner. I’m looking forward to hearing another album from Diana. It’s been way too long!

Love this new song by Diana Degarmo. The song will be a definite hit. Diana co-wrote the song with Shanna Crooks and Keith Stegall.
Keith Stegall is the producer for Alan Jackson and has written many hit country songs.
Diana performed the song great on American Idol Extra.

Her new album will be produced by Grammy Award Winner John Rich and will have songs written by both John Rich and Gretchen Wilson.

Diana DeGarmo gave an interview on June 6, 2008 to World Talk Live Radio. She talked about her experiences on American Idol, Broadway, and on Gone Country. She also talked about appearing at this weekends CMA Festival and also about her concert this weekend in Georgia. She sang acapella the chorus of Right Back Where We Ended. A great interview.

Great new video just posted on You Tube of Diana DeGarmo performing Right Back Where We Ended at the June Jam 2008 on Saturday.
There are also videos of her performing: Dreams, Till You Want Me and Chain of Fools at the event. All were great performances by Diana DeGarmo.
She also tested the waters at the event for two new songs never perfomed before. The songs were called Thank You and Mr. Right.

Back in March, Diana DeGarmo taped an episode of the Montel Show. The episode will be shown on July 7, 2008. In most areas the episode will area at 1pm on Fox Channel 11. Definitely check your TV Guide listings to make sure.

It was sure great to see Diana DeGarmo on American Idol Extra performing Right Back Where We Ended. Her song from the Gone Country Finale. It is sure great to see Diana getting back to her country roots.
After the Gone Country finale, Diana moved to Nashville and is now signed to John Rich’s production company. Her new album will include songs written by JOhn Rich and Gretchen Wilson.

Diana DeGarmo has sure had a great 2008. In January, she starred in the CMT hit show Gone Country with Bobby Brown, Carnie Wilson, Dee Snider and Maureen McCormick. John Rich of the country group Big and Rich was the host of the show. The series was one of the highest rated shows in CMT’s 25 year television history.
After the Gone Country show wrapped production, Diana DeGarmo moved to Nashville and has been signed to John Rich’s production company and is working on a new country album in Nashville. The album is expected to have songs written by John Rich and Gretchen Wilson as well as “Right Back Where We Ended” the song Diana performed at the Gone Country finale.
Most of the cast of Gone Country was at the CMT Music Awards show in April. The cast: Diana DeGarmo, Maureen McCormick, John Rich, Siscqo and Bobby Brown introduced Kenny Chesney. There were many great pictures of Diana from the red carpet at the event that showed up on the internet.
In April, Diana DeGarmo was selected by CMT to be the hostess for their Global Youth Service Day event.
In June, Diana DeGarmo appeared at the CMA Music Festival in Nashville which is one of the biggest country music festivals for the year. Diana also appeared at the June Jam 2008 in Georgia and debuted two new songs “Mr. Right” and “Thank You”. The videos can be seen on You Tube. She also performed “Right Back Where We Ended” at the event.
It is sure great to see that after a great run on Broadway that this year Diana DeGarmo is getting back to doing concerts, radio shows, tv shows, magazine interviews and returning to her country roots with a new album.

There has sure been many exciting projects this year for Diana DeGarmo. She starred in the Gone Country series on CMT and then moved to Nashville. She is now signed to John Rich’s production company.
We have heard some great new songs from Diana DeGarmo. The song from the Gone Country finale Right Back Where We Ended will be a huge hit country song. The songs she performed at June Jam 2008 Mr. Right and Thank You. The videos for these two new songs can be found on You Tube.

even though i didn’t start watching idol til season 4, i heard diana on itunes and she was so great, makes me wish i’d known about idol sooner. i bought her album “blue skies” and i’m really looking forward to hearing more from her. this song sounds great. and, i love that she went country :) lol.

The Diana DeGarmo interview on the Montel Williams show was great this week. It was great that she got to mention that she moved to Nashville and is recording and writing songs for a new country album.
Heard some rumors this week that Diana will be in a revival of Godspell. Hope this comes true. Diana has done such great theatre work in Hairspray, Brooklyn and Westside story.

Great news Diana DeGarmo will be taking part in a holiday concert tour in December. (See Below)
-Diana will take part in a special holiday concert tour put on by American Idol’s associate music director, Michael Orland, and three other former Idol finalists including Constantine Maroulis, Kimberley Caldwell and David Hernandez. The four artists will perform Christmas music at the concerts. So far, four dates have been revealed, and are as follows:

This holiday concert music tour with Diana DeGarmo will be great. I have always loved the way that she has sang Christmas music. Saw her perform “Grown up Christmas List” and the “Christmas Song (Chestnuts roasting)” and she was outstanding.

Tony Award nominee Gavin Creel and 2004 “American Idol” finalist Diana DeGarmo will star in a revival of Stephen Schwartz’s 1976 Broadway musical, “Godspell,” producers Adam Epstein, Broadway Across America, Stewart Lane, and Bonnie Comley announced Tuesday. Preview performances will begin September 29 at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre.
Daniel Goldstein (”All Shook Up”) will direct the revival of the musical, whose original run ended 31 years ago. Joshua Henry, currently performing in “In the Heights,” will also join the cast, playing Judas opposite Mr. Creel’s Jesus.
Mr. Creel received a Tony nomination for his lead performance in “Thoroughly Modern Millie,” and Ms. DeGarmo played Penny Pingleton in the Broadway production of “Hairspray” after making her name on “American Idol.”

Diana DeGarmo performed at a concert with Ronnie McDowell in Red Boiling Springs in August 2008. It was a great event. Ronnie McDowell was best known for his visual and vocal prescence to Elvis Presley.
Diana DeGarmo has two great new videos up on You Tube from the event in Red Boiling Springs. One of the videos features Diana singing a song she wrote called “Mr. Right”. The second video features Diana singing the song “Crazy”. Both are excellent videos head over to You Tube to watch them.

Great job by Diana DeGarmo at all of her summer events in Nashville. She has debuted several new songs in concert: Yesterday’s Makeup, Pieces, Mr Right, Thank You, and Find Me. All songs are great.
Country Weekly Magazine is holding a survey for the Most Beautiful Women in Country Music. Definitely head over to their website at http://www.countryweekly.com to vote for Diana DeGarmo. She is a write in candidate so select the Other category and write in her name. The ballot can also be mailed in and the ballot is found in the Country Weekly Magazine.
