Diana DeGarmo Summer Event Updates

I was over on American Idol season three finalist, Diana DeGarmo’s MySpace page and I saw that she has added some dates to her calendar. Here are some dates (anyone going? Would love to hear about it!):
- June 2, 2008 – 6:00pm @ Hermitage Lanes in Nashville, Tennessee. Lonestar & Friends Strike Out for the Kids Bowling Party to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital presented by GAC, Great American Country.
- June 6, 2008 – 4:00pm @ CMA Music Fest! in Nashville, Tennessee/
Autograph signing for CMT from 4-5:00pm. - June 7, 2008 – 7:30pm June Jam @ Brenau University Amphitheater in Gainesville, Georgia. 2nd Annual June Jam Charity Concert benefiting “A Greater Purpose” 30 minute show and meet & greet.
- June 8, 2008 – 4:30 PM @ CMA Music Fest! in Nashville.
I will be hosting the Riverfront Grand Finale Show from 4:30-6:30pm.

Saw Diana DeGarmo at many of her summer appearances in Nashville and she was great. She debuted several new country/pop songs such as:

Diana always sounds so great live and hearing her perform new material was just fantastic.

Diana has many great appearance lined up for September and October. Definitely want to hear her perform her new songs they are great.
On September 6, 2008, Diana DeGarmo will be appearing with American Idol Alumni’s Justin Guarinin and Chris Sligh in Connecticut at the Ledyard Fair. It will definitely be a great event.
Since American Idol, Chris Sligh has recorded a Contemporary Christian Album called Running Back to You on Brash Records. The record label is an independent label located in Atlanta. The album is doing very well on inspirational charts according to Billboard Magazine.
Justin Guarini was the first runner up to Kelly Clarkson on season one of American Idol. He has also been very busy since Idol ended and this season was a host for TV Guide Channel for all of their coverage on American Idol.
Diana DeGarmo has also been very busy since American Idol ended. She appeared on Broadway in New York as Penny Pingleton in Hairspray. Most recently she was seen in the CMT hit show Gone Country with Bobby Brown, Dee Snider, and Maureen McCormick. The show was the highest rated series for CMT in their 25 year television history. On the shows finale, Diana DeGarmo performed the song Right Back Where We Ended that she wrote with the legendary Keith Stegall and Shanna Crooks. Diana also performed Right Back Where We Ended on this seasons American Idol Extra.
After Gone Country wrapped production, Diana DeGarmo moved to Nashville and was signed to John Rich’s production company. He is the producer of her new country/pop album. John is from the very successful country group Big and Rich. The album will also include a song by Gretchen Wilson.
In April, Diana Degarmo appeared with the cast of Gone Country at the CMT Music Awards show. The cast introduced Kenny Chesney.
In June, Diana DeGarmo appeared at the CMA Music Festival. She worked at both greet and meet sessions for CMT and GAC stations. She also was the host of the River Front Finale Stage. She also appeared at the June Jam 2008 in Gainesville, Georgia and debuted two of her new country/pop songs “Thank You” and “Mr. Right”.
In July, Diana DeGarmo appeared at the Grand Opening for the nightclub Fuel and also appeared at the WETbar in Atlanta.
In August, Diana appeared at the Tin Roof and a couple of other nightclubs in Nashville. She debuted several new country/pop songs such as Pieces and Find Me.
Definitely want to see Justin Guarini, Chris Sligh and Diana Degarmo at the Ledyard Fair in Connecticut on Saturday, September 6, 2008. It will definitely be a great day of live music.

Definitely check out the Fall issue 2008 of Atanta Salon and Spa Magazine. Diana DeGarmo is the cover girl for the issue. Great new pictures of Diana and article. Diana did mention in the article her first country album has officially finished production with John Rich of the country group Big and Rich as the producer for the album.
There is a great new video over at You Tube of Diana DeGarmo performing her new song “Kiss Me”. The video was filmed at Tin Roof in Nashville August 2008.

Diana DeGarmo is being shown the month of November 2008 on the TV Guide Channel with the show American Idol Rewind. Re-live Season 3 of American Idol on Friday nights at 8pm and the show will encore on Sunday nights at 9pm. American Idol Rewind does have exclusive 2008 interview with: Diana DeGarmo, George Huff, Jasmine Trias, and Camile Velasco. Definitely want to check out American Idol Rewind on the TV Guide Channel.

What a great event this will be, a great night of holiday music!!! There are eighteen great dates for this holiday tour. Diana DeGarmo has always sang great Christmas songs. Constantine Maroules will also be on the tour.
Great news, Diana DeGarmo has officially announced that she is planning an EP release for December. She made the announcement during a live interview on October 30, 2008 on rickey.org for Rickey TV.
Definitely keep an eye out for Diana DeGarmo’s mini album. The album will be country.

Diana DeGarmo officially released her (EP) on December 5, 2008 at her concert in Athens, Georgia.
Many people have confirmed the CD (EP) was available for sale at the concert and Diana officially signed copies of her new CD (EP).
The new (EP) will officially be released on ITUNES next week.

The (EP) was sold at her Idols in Concert for the Holidays show at the Classic Center in Athens, Georgia. The (EP) will officially become available next week on ITUNES. Way to go Diana.

Diana DeGarmo officially released her new CD mini album (EP) titled “Unplugged in Nashville” December 5, 2008 in Athens, Georgia. Hard copies of the CD were sold during her holiday tour with Kimberley Locke, David Hernandez and Chikezie this month. Diana has been performing during the holiday tour an original song that she wrote to honor the US Military. The song is called “Thank You”

This song is dedicated to every man and woman who has or currently is serving in our military. It tells the little story of my tour overseas with the USO and only begins to show how blessed and humbled I was by that trip. American Idol Rewind Season Three is being shown on Saturday’s at 2pm on KTTV Channel 11 Fox. Today, I saw Diana DeGarmo, Jennifer Hudson, and the whole top 12 of Season 3 during Hollywood Week. Lots of great memories were shown from the third season of American Idol on December 27, 2008.
Diana DeGarmo was shown on both episodes of American Idol Rewind on Saturday, December 20, 2008 and again on Saturday, December 27, 2008.
The Saturday episode on December 20, 2008 showed Diana DeGarmo at her audition in Hawaii. The episode also showed the auditions of Jasmine Trias and Camile Velasco from Hawaii.
The Saturday episode of American Idol Rewind on December 27, 2008 showed Diana DeGarmo and the whole top 12 during Hollywood Week.
What a great year Diana DeGarmo has had in 2008. The year in review. In January 2008, Diana DeGarmo was in the hit CMT show Gone Country with Bobby Brown, John Rich, Carnie Wilson, Siscqo, Julio Iglesias, Jr, Maureen McCormick, and Dee Snider. The TV Series was the highest rated tv series in CMT’s 25 year televison history.
For Gone Country, Diana DeGarmo co-wrote and performed for the show’s finale the song Right Back Where We Ended. For this song, Diana got to work with legendary country producer Keith Stegall and Nashville songwriter Shanna Crooks.
In 2008, Diana DeGarmo made appearances at the country music awards shows. Diana attended both the CMT Music Awards Show and also the CMA Music Awards Show. Diana was a presenter at the CMT Music Awards Show with the cast of Gone Country. The cast introduced Kenny Chesney.
In July, Diana DeGarmo was at the Grand Opening of the club FUSE in Nashville. Diana has also been seen performing for the Nashville Broncs the National Anthem.

American Idol and Broadway HAIRSPRAY star Diana DeGarmo will star as “Dorothy” in OZ THE MUSICAL, a contemporary musical treatment of the popular L. Frank Baum story “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz,” the production will begin a Texas based tour in February 2009.

It is great to see Diana DeGarmo keeping so busy in 2009. In February, she was in Oz the Musical playing Dorothy which toured all through Texas. Then in April/ May 2009 she was in Back to Bacharach and David at the Music Box Theater in Los Angeles, California. Now, she will be playing the narrator in July in Oklahoma City in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Love her new EP “Unplugged in Nashville” now available on Itunes, Amazon, CDbaby, and Rhapsody. Great new EP from Diana.
Diana DeGarmo has co-written a great new song with Stacy Donahue called “I Taught you to Love Her”. You can hear the recording studio version with Diana’s terrifc vocals over at Stacy Donahue’s MySpace Page.

Wow!!! Just went to Stacy Donahue’s MySpace page and heard Diana DeGarmo performing “I Taught you to Love Her” what a terrifc new song from Diana. Great job on the songwriting of this song to both Stacy and Diana!!!! There are many great videos up on You Tube of Diana perfoming this great new song in her concerts in Nashville.
I also heard that Diana DeGarmo has written another great new song with Danny Radar called “Falling” which she will perform as a duet. Can’t wait to hear this new song. Hope Diana performs it soon in concert.
