Here is a little story about our Adventure at Fort Benning “Priceless”
Well first I should start by saying my husband has said, ” I’m not going to follow this Bo Bice guy all over the country.” He said this but has been with me to see Bo at the Katrina Benefit, Chattanooga,and Nashville twice. I had to go to Atlanta by myself but that was because he hates James Blunt. All of that said, this weekend at Fort Bening really tested his devotion to me and my Bo Bice obsession.
We just purchased a new Harley Road Glide and I suggested the trip to Columbus would be a good first road trip for the new bike. He agreed and I carefully read all the posts her on BoBice .com to see that we had everything we needed to get in the fort. We had registration, proof of insurance and ID.

So we packed up and leisurely headed down the road. We got to our hotel and decided to take a swim, no hurry, Bo doesn’t go on until 9 pm. Finally we loaded up and headed to the fort. Traffic was light and we quickly rode up to the check station on our new Harley Davidson Road Glide. Thats were the problem started. It seems that if you want to ride a motorcycle in Fort Benning you must have long sleeve shirts and pants, gloves, reflective vests and high top shoes. All I could think was we have come all the way from Dalton and no Bo.
We zipped over to Kmart to find all the things and never got close to finding the vests and the size 15 high top boots we needed for Jim. Next we went to Enterprise to rent a car, “Closed”. Panic on my part and you can imagine my husband’s attitude at ths time. We finally rented a car at the airport and made it to the show in time to see the Mummies take the stage. I don’t have to tell you guys Bo was great.
So here is my take on the MasterCard commercial.
Brand new Harley on its first road trip ===== $21,000
Hotel Accomidations in Columbus, Ga ======== $100
Long pants and shirts at KMart ============= $25
Avis Rental Car ========================= $40
Having a husband willing to do all this and getting to see Bo Bice again === PRICELESSBo, When Jim and I meet you at the Nashville meet and greet you asked if we rode the motorcycle. Well we did ride the motorcycle to see you at Fort Benning but we came to see you in a rented Impala.
Can’t wait for the new record.
