Elliott Yamin returned to the American Idol stage last night where he performed “Free” and held up a touching message to his mother, Claudette, who passed away a couple weeks ago.

    Elliott’s performance was so great. I watch the video at different sites and get misty every time I see when he holds his hand up with the message for his mom. He is such a fantastic human being and as his mom said “a good soul”.
