repeat performances shouldn’t be a basis in earning a spot in the top 2. It’s the voice talent, and everyone knows that Melinda has the upper hand here. The judges didn’t care at all if they both gave repeat performances. Go Melinda! She’ll do great.

The Ruben-Clay finale was very intense. I even found the Kat-Taylor and Carrie-Bo finales exciting. I’m not as psyched for this, I regret to say.

Interesting article. The big difference between this season with a possible Melinda-Blake final and season 2 with the Ruben-Clay final is that back in season 2 people were taking more notice and really cared about Ruben and Clay. It was the most exciting season ever and it seems that season 6 has been a real yawner overall. Although it may be a close vote, I don’t think that people care as much who wins as they did in season 2 and I’m not seeing a huge fanbase for anyone this season either. Just don’t see that it will be nearly as exciting as season 2 was.
