Idol Face Off - David Archuleta vs Matt Corby
I’ve been getting emails about bringing the Face Offs back and here we are (special thanks to Nick!). First up - American Idol finalist, David Archuleta, versus last season’s Australian Idol runnerup, Matt Corby, singing “Another Day in Paradise.” I honestly think this is a great match up since they are both 17 (right?) and are/were clear favorites. Matt Corby OWNED this one. It was a strikingly reserved version, and he got a well-earned touchdown for this performance. Great stuff.

To be honest David A. is SOOO overrated it is sick!!! DAVID COOK ALL THE WAY!!!!!

Though I’m a huuuuge David Archuleta fan, Matt Corby did a better job with this one. David A. had strep throat during this performance… but, take a more classical song and David would run Matt over. Matt’s Music of the Night was atrocious.

I am a big David A. fan and I listened to both performances with an open mind. David was not up to par but still outsang Matt. Matt has a good voice but not the gift that David has.

of course david had done the best!!
with the piano…so strong voice and high…
