Idol Face Off – It’s Not Unusual

So, yesterday on Australian Idol contestant Carl Riseley was challenged by a judge to sing this Tom Jones classic and Canadian Idol runner up, Jaydee Bixby, sang it during the final performance episode this past season.

I wasn’t impressed with either one of them with that song. I can’t picture anybody singing it except Tom Jones.
I couldn’t get through to neither those performances. Carl’s tone grates on my nerves, and JayDee was plain bad on this one.
With coaching, JayDee could be great tho. He’s 16, so young still… But with the right material and some coaching (vocals and stage presence), I think he could have a very successful career. He’s got those lvis bedroom eyes, the moves, the voice….
