Idols Do Graceland and Elvis
Tonight the Idols will put their best hips forward and see what kind of entertainment they can whip up from the original American Idol, The “King” of Rock ‘n Roll, Elvis Presley.
Meanwhile, this season’s remaining four contestants are still toiling away to pick the right songs, please Paula, shush Simon and stay in Randy’s dawg pound. To prepare for this week’s show, where they’ll channel one of America’s first idols– Elvis Presley–Daughtry, Yamin, Katharine McPhee and Taylor Hicks jetted off to Graceland to work with music mogul Tommy Mottola.
And what’s a trip to Graceland to study the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll without a meeting with the royal family? Priscilla and Lisa Marie were also in residence to welcome Idol’s final four.
“I think it’s a great thing,” Priscilla Presley told reporters. “I love the fact that these are people from all over the United States who probably would never have had the opportunity to be in this position.”
Looking forward to tonight’s performances. I think Chris Daughtry and Taylor Hicks will have a leg up on Elliott and Katharine for this music choice.
