Interested in Australian Idol?
Have any of you visited Oz Music Scene in b5media’s Music Channel? It covers music in Australia and, although it’s a new blog, it’s great!
If you are interested in reading about the early stages of Australian Idol get over there and check it out. Once the competition gets to the top 10 stage, Lauren and I (Oz’s awesome blogger), will work together so I will bring some of her content here to Idol Stalker.

Lauren also says things work a bit differently on Australian Idol. They use instruments (like Canadian Idol) but here’s her description of the other differences:
Our top 24 semifinals start this Sunday. We do things a little differently to the US and Canada - 6 people go head to head on Sunday through to Wednesday, and two people will be selected by the public each night. Then we have a wildcard round on the Thursday, where the judges favorites get to sing again and four other contestants are chosen - some of them are the judges’ choices while others are viewer voted.
As I said, in the coming weeks, I plan to work very closely with Lauren to balance the news about Australian Idol.
Are you interested? France’s version, “Nouvelle Star” brought me some good readers, so hopefully this will too. Even if you aren’t in Australia, give the videos a chance when I put them up!
