Is Blake Getting More Love Than Jordin?
Okay, we’ve been watching the videos, reading/listening to interviews and watching the iTunes sales and I’m am beginning to wonder if Blake Lewis is getting a teeny tiny more love than Jordin Sparks. One of this site’s visitors said that, although he voted for Jordin all season, he spends more time listening to Blake’s EP. I’m NOT saying Blake should be getting more attention!!! I do, however, want to hear about what you all think and what you’re seeing out there. Sometimes the winner ends up being neglected and the runner-up ends up on top. Take the poll, please! this is the first year they did everything with the winner and the runner-up. they have almost had blake and jordin in everything together. i watched “today” this morning and they had blake and jordin perform. jordin sung this is my now, and blake sung she will be loved.

I think they are getting equal attention really. I just was listening to Y100 morning show with Elvis Duran and the Morning Zoo (lol) and they had Blake on….Yesterday they had Jordin on…so I think it is pretty equal…but let me tell you some of the questions/answers….the funniest one of all is…Blake was asked if the contestants are really as close as they are saying they are. Blake said yes that it is true this season, and that him and Chris Richardson have become best buds….then he adds “Well I don’t hang out with Sanjaya or anything like that” LMAO…that was so funny b/c of the way he said it as if it would be cardinal sin if anyone got caught hanging out with Sanjaya…lol…to be honest unless anyone else has heard or seen differently, I don’t think any of the contestants really hang/hung out with him. I think they may be cordial to him and don’t bash him in interviews, out of obligation more so than how they actually feel about him after the whole Sanjaya fiasco. Granted the voting system that kept Sanjaya on the show is totally not his fault its just the fact that a person that was less than mediocre actually spun past contestants that were amazing and can really sing (Stephanie). Can you really blame any of them if they even have a drop of resentment towards the guy?
Ok another interesting question was, when his album comes out and if there are 15-20 tracks on it, how many of them will have beat boxing in it? Blake said that only 4-5 will have beat boxing on it b/c he just really wants to sing. He also added that he has been working on his album for 7 years and has recorded a bunch of tracks already and his album should be out between Thanksgiving and Christmas (he’s hoping)…Jordin is expecting her album to come out around the same time.
Oh, in “rumor” news, Blake was asked about the Antonella Barber rumor. Blake said it was cute at the finale when the camera cut to her and she blew him a kiss. When asked if he is “tapping that” he responded with “no comment”….eewwww if that is true…yuck! Blake can do sooo much better. But I can only think that if he is, then it’s just b/c he’s a man and she is handing it out….strap it up Blake cause that one’s been around! ;)

A’kyra - those WERE interesting reads. Ugh. I try not to think of Blake with Antonella. I do agree that they are getting equal attention.
Dustin - you have a great explanation there for why I feel that Blake might be getting more love. It’s because the top two have never been so equally promoted.

Hey did anyone know about this about Jordin:
Her talent has already earned her spots on “Star Search” in 2003 and “America’s Most Talented Kids” in 2004. She’s won national gospel music competitions and recorded her first album, “For Now,” in 2003 at the tender age of 12. She’s also gained a reputation as a country singer and a national anthem performer at professional sporting events.
In September she won the Arizona Idol competition and three days later was flown to the Seattle auditions as part of her prize.

I knew Jordin has had her eyes on Idol since 12 but I didn’t know she recorded an album. I wonder how true this is.
