Is Clay Aiken Gay?

by Jeanne on June 12th, 2007

gay-or-straight

I don’t really care but since the issue just won’t die, I wanted to know what you all think. There have been rumors brewing about American Idol season 2 runner-up, Clay Aiken, for years.

The New York Post claims an “insider” had the following to say:

“The war is between the batty members that are still clinging to their heterosexual fantasies of him and others that don’t harbor such illusions.”

The Official Fan Club has had to shut down the message board with the following notice: “Due to reports of extensive unrest and disrespect amongst members that has been carrying on for several weeks, the Official Fan Club Message Board will be shut down until further notice. Please note that should tensions continue on other areas of the fan club, severe consequences may occur.”

Is he gay? Clay refuses to answer the question even though there are men who claim to have dated him and he’s been seen in gay chat rooms. I’d love to hear what you think (be nice)!!!

Yes! Diane Sawyer asked him in an interview if he was gay. He did not deny it, but instead dodged the question and told her she was rude for asking.

Clay has answered no to this question three times and in the Diane Sawyer interview he just said he was giving up addressing it anymore as people didn’t believe his answer. How many times do you have to say “no”? Besides, people’s sexuality is nobody’s business.

The fan club was not shut down because of this reason. It was about an article from a tabloid being posted which was against the rules. Again the Insider for the NY Post has a gay agenda. It’s amazing what keeps these people busy.

The conflict was NOT over the questioning of his sexuality but, in fact, over a particular article from a tabloid that was brought over to the message board which is in direct violation of the TOU’s. Mr. Aiken himself made sure the message board was put back up, which it was first thing Monday morning. As usual, the entire thing has been blown way out of proportion. Seems like some people just can’t or won’t give him a break.

And he has answered the question before, but since no one believes him anyway, he’s no longer bothering to comment.

I don’t care one way or the other, he doesn’t sing from his penis! He refuses to talk about his private life as does Anderson Cooper, I say judge them by their talents, period.

Diane Sawyer also asked Clay if he was gay acouple of years ago and he said no. He has said he wasn’t gay in a couple of other interveiws. Few seemed to believe him, nevertheless that was the answer he gave. If he really is straight no one wants to know about it. Granted he was a lot younger then and things change. Maybe he was unsure at the time, maybe he was sure but conflicted because of his career, family feelings about homosexuality,or his religion. Or maybe, just maybe he told the truth the first time. I don’t know the man, but I have to say I would probably become stubborn as hell about answering a question that I don’t think is anybodies business. So maybe he has decided to dig his heels in and not respond as a way to tell people to go to hell. He has no control over what people say about him but he does have control over what he says to them. I have to say I really like Clay Aiken, I have from the very beginning and I hope he finds a way to deal with all this madness and retain his sanity. I did think refusing to answer was the best thing to do if he were straight but if he’s not then I do think he probably ought to say and let the chips fall where they may. He may lose some fans but he will retain far more. No doubt he would gain some also. I wish him the best.

The reason Clay isn’t answering is because he has answered way back when….in Rolling Stone and other articles. Why should he have to keep answering? He’s a wonderful human being and his private life is his own. All this garbage on the internet is just that….garbage. The website stuff is nothing but trolls stirring the pot.

Personally, I don’t care if he is gay or not, however, I think if he would just admit it, no one would care any more. Sure it’s nobody’s business, but he has chosen a profession that puts him under a spotlight. He could use his celebrity to be a good role model for his teen fans and set a good example and talk about tolerance, safe sex, etc.

The tabloids won’t print his previous responses to that tiring question because it won’t sell thier sleazy crap. Clay refuses to answer that very tiring question because he’s ansered it before many times…he wants a stop to it ….like he said on Diane Sawyer and Larry King….spin it any way you want but the truth is still on record. In case you all need to have your memories refreshed, here it is again:

    QUOTE
“One thing I’ve found of people in the public eye,” Aiken says, “either you’re a womanizer or you’ve got to be gay. Since I’m neither one of those, people are completely concerned about me. They’re like, ‘What are you then?’ I’m sure it has to do with being raised by women. I wouldn’t want somebody gawking at my mom and grabbing her butt and catcalling at her, trying to hook up with her at a bar. I’m not saying I’m not going to look. Hello! But you know what I mean?”

Is Clay Aiken gay? Is the sky blue? Good gravy what kind of rhetorical question is that? Of course he is gay and every male on line hookup is out there to prove it.

    Jun 12, 2007 at 9:41 pm

third one above says he clay Aiken and he is not gay!but clay would never write in to this theres no way to prove it other wise. I Love his music and has a good voice there are alot of stars that would come out or not come out at all but let me say this if clay was walking down the street and he saw a father and son doing the same/ the child fell down and the father could not help his son! clay walk up and at that moment the father for got it was clay aiken helping his son the boy was had to get more help clay calls for help and the father had been a hater of clays the father was not a hater no longer but clay help his son. it takes something bad to come around and have a new understanding about clay. so you see one never knows if clay might help a hater. thanks you the one that wrote in as clay aiken/ its not a good thing to be useing clay aiken name!

Well, even though his singing has nothing to do with his sexual orientation, I say he’s GAY, GAY, GAY! I think the reason why he says he’s not gay is because he comes from a Christian family. It’s harder to be admit to that when you’re in that situation. It’s very understandable why he wouldn’t admit to it.
His voice will remain amazing no matter what.
I’ve seen poeple act like it would be a bad thing if he were gay. Why is it such a big deal to be gay anyways? Geez, they make it uncomfortable for poeple to admit to it.
    (just my personal opinion:)

it really doesn’t matter…his voice and talent weigh more than the truth behind his sexuality…

anyway, i had a laugh about lisalee’s line”…he doesn’t sing from his penis”… hahaha!! that was cool

  • blue
    Jun 13, 2007 at 4:20 am

    No.

In many ways repetitive denials are insulting to the gay community and since Clay is quite particular about “inclusion”, “acceptance” , and “equality” he is careful not to continually deny this issue. He has addressed it and he is “done”. Furthermore, anyone out in the business world knows that as an employer of many people which Clay is, he may have gay people on his staff and employers should never ever get embroiled in “is she or isn’t he” issues of sexual orientation. It is a non issue. Therefore I can see him walking a hard line with this issue for ethical reasons as well as business reasons. It is quite clear to me. Of course younger and less business educated and less life educated young people do not have the ability to think this clearly and being gay is a titillating issue to talk about ad infinitum on the internet. Eventually they will hopefully grow out of it.

I don’t know if Clay is gay. I do know that the question was asked 4 years ago. He answered. And the questions is still being asked today. So the answer he gave was not satisfactory or the questions would stop being asked. Some will ask, and ask, and ask hoping for a “yes” even though he has said “no.”

He presents as straight. Fine with me. Whatever. I just enjoy that voice.

I’m far from an ignorant boob, but I’m sure I’ll sound like one to those who don’t agree with me. Clay Aiken just never seemed gay to me. I have gay friends and relatives. Not until others brought it up did I even consider it. Now I can’t say for sure but until he says he’s gay I will believe what he originally said which is he’s not. He’ a great singer and an engaging performer, I honestly dont care one way or the other.

  • amanda
    Jun 13, 2007 at 11:36 am

Oh dear. Why is Clay’s sexuality such an issue? The man has answered the question repeatedly. Let it rest.

That horrible Perez Hilton is always posting those lurid web cam pictures and accusing Clay of cruising gay porn sites. And he was targeted by that opportunistic gay hustler who was later proven to be a liar.

It seems much of the hate and resentment is coming from the gay community itself. Why do they keep tormenting Clay? It’s a type of harrassment, really.

Please respect Clay’s privacy. He wants you to focus on his voice - not his sex life.

Everyone deserves to have someone in their life to hold and to trust. Someone who makes you feel better about yourself. Someone who makes your life better because they are in it.And whose life you make better because your in it. So gay or straight that is what I hope Clay can have. The man deserves to be happy. Live your life the way you want, Clay!!!

anonymous- very well put! Bravo! You are so right….I remember they used to say “big girls need love too”…well everyone needs love, and who or what they find it in is their own. We are not anyone to be judging anyone else. It does not matter what Clay’s sexual orientation is. He is a human being trying to make it in this crazy world….who cares…he’s cool….oh and for the record I am not a Clay fan just in case anyone out there thinks that is why I’m defending him.

Now Gerri G- you are a mess! I love it! You have everyone on pins and needles with anticipation…LOL….how about everyone take a guess and Gerri let us know who was right….any takers??? Not that it matters where talent is concerned but I think we are all kind of curious as to who it is :)

He said we will be surprised so we can scratch off Sanjaya ;) Phil is married with a child (not that that makes a difference now-a-days…lol) Chris R. and Chris S…hmmm…Chris S. claims to have a wife, but we have not heard ANYTHING really about Mr Chris Richardson except maybe how “close” he and Blake are….ewwww

Oh my I just ran across the funniest article EVER about Chris Sligh!!!
    http://www.crystalair.com/content.php?id=84200703004
    HILARIOUS!!!!!!
But on the serious tip about who is gay this season, Gerri ummm there has been a lot of “cake” talk about Blake and Chris R….. is it true?

WOW!! Natasha, They really are into Clay over there, aren’t they. Alot of efffort going into someones life they profess to hate. Makes me wonder why. I can’t imagine spending any of my time looking around for the repetitive and the redundant. But to each his own i guess. Obsessiveness knows no bounds. Clay will survive and hopefully thrive!

I think the web site Natasha posted earlier today should be taken down. It just gives crapsites like that hits and that’s what they are after in the first place. Same as this site to be truthful. I just don’t see the need to feed into hate as intense as that. It’s not healthy to anyone.

    Jun 15, 2007 at 4:37 pm

again who cares? even if he is so what! what is the big deal? this will be my first time to see clay sing in Gilford NH and I am going for the music. my Granson need help and I wrote and I got help for my grandson- if clay was the only person to help your child you would take it.but anyways clay has a right to be happy with whom ever he wants to be with, who are we to say other wise! clay has to answer to his maker one day,and so dont we all let the man have some peace, we are with who we all want to be why not clay? they are so many gay actors out there. thats who they want to be with. we only live once no turning back for no of us .even clay.please stop for a secord and let him be.

We love you Clay!!! Be happy. Do what you want and find the path you want to tread and don’t look back!! You’re hot gay you’re hot straight. Doesn’t matter what you are just matters who you are….. Keep making your music and we’ll all be happy!!!!!

Wow. This was the exact kind of response I was hoping to get.

  • Lisa
    Jun 17, 2007 at 7:04 pm

Maybe when clay gets older like 60 or older he may not have that many fans as there are always some one new will be around. and he could take the answer to his grave but one might not know then or he may take a wife! would that be the answer maybe not! they all will say clay got married to cover up so the poor man will never win at all. if he says he gay alot of people will leave for sure to me I dont think he his gay till I know for sure ! I am happy for the way he sings he has a gift and share it with us all. thanks

Thank you Lisa you are spot on! It’s so sad how superficial this world has become. People act like their skin will melt off their back or their children won’t eat tonight or any other night until Clay claims he’s gay. What happens if/when he does? Will life end? Get over it people…if it does not affect you or your loved ones, why make it a life changing thing when it is merely useless information. Sure we all have grown accustom to hearing about the stars personal lives and some probably live vicariously through them but how does that info change your life? Do the guys think they may turn gay if Clay is? I mean seriously what is all the fuss about? Same thing with Jordin and her personal views on abortion…why are so many people changing their opinions of her vocal abilities based on her religious beliefs….it’s crazy…but that’s what this world is turning into I guess….sad but true…

you are also right! what I dont understand why you have such hate in your heart? who has done northing to you! but you all copy one another to hate him because someone said to? and you go along with it cause its the right thing to do.Lets all hate clay cause someone said he might be gay?how do you know he is gay? oh yes ! you saw it written down and again people told you.wow that there would make me see he is gay! not on your life.here is one for you show me all the prove! anything you have and I will check it out the truth only! all for now! no matter what I am still a claymate!

    Jun 20, 2007 at 6:27 am

Exactly Lisa, although for a second there I thought you were talking to me everytime you said “you”…LOL
I am not a Clay fan but I really don’t care what his sexual preference is. It’s not really an issue in my book about anyone really. As long as their entertainment is on point I’m good. And if I don’t particularly care for someone’s music, I just don’t listen but it has nothing to do with gay or straight. Just like it has nothing to do with a person’s heritage. People hating people b/c of their skin color is insane! Whatever…Like Don King says “Only in America”… home of the superficial…ugh it’s almost embarrassing to admit being American now-a-days…geez we got Bush, Paris….and a passion for power and all things meaningless and superficial. That’s it…I’m moving to Canada! ;) LOL

To everyone that written on this blog, let me say that I am not a gay hater. I am sorry if that is the impression I have given. Why did I state what I did?? Its because I feel so strongly that if he is gay so what. I still maintain that in my humble opinion he is gay. SOOOOOOOOO What

    Yes Gerri G

    Jun 20, 2007 at 1:05 pm

Lisa, no one here has said that they would hate Clay if he came out as gay. All I see is people saying their opinions on whether or not he is gay or not. Also no one has said that he doesn’t deserve to be happy or that he doesn’t deserve to live his life the way he wants to, yet it was mentioned in an earlier comment. It seems like poeple are getting mad because we think he’s gay. So what if we do? Is that a crime to express our opinions on the matter? Or will this once again turn into people making it seem like the one’s who do think he is gay are just haters. YOU make it seem like it is a bad thing that he is gay because YOU are the ones being offended by us thinking he IS gay.
I wouldn’t think differently of Clay if he came out as gay. All I said was that I think he is gay! So why is this turning into something it isn’t?
I particularly took offense when Lisa said(sarcastically)”Lets all hate clay cause someone said he might be gay?” I wouldn’t hate Clay if he came out as gay. If you want to make a statement, Lisa, make sure that you don’t direct it to anyone who is just actually stating their opinion. At the end of the article that Jeanne wrote she says “I’d love to hear what you think”. It is not right to shut people down just because they think he is gay. Then you might end up with a bunch of people acting like they got their heads cut off or something(like me :).
If peopel were actuallysaying hateful things, then that would be different but just saying he is gay is not a very big deal.

    Lauren :-) :-) :-)

I don’t hate Clay because he is gay. I dislike him because he was gotten so far on a minimal talent, singing by and large songs that aren’t original. He is deceptively recieving adoration from millions of sexually frustrated middle aged god bothering women who’s ovaries go into some sort of meltdown at the sight of him.
I truly think he is singularly unattractive and I have seen him on many chat shows. He is not charismatic, he simpers like a sniggering schoolgirl.

Lauren I kind of got the same feel from her comment but I wasn’t sure and that’s why I wrote that I thought she was talking to me….well Lisa if you were, Lauren is right.

And for the record, Gerri G I never thought of you as a “gay hater”. I’m not sure who you were refering to in your comment as well.

It all boils down to, IT DOESN’T MATTER! Who cares either way?? Well I guess there are people out there that do care but….oh well, if they want to live their lives worried about other people’s sexual preference then hey…go for it, but I could care less, I have my own life to live and worry about. To each his own.

Ok, Lauren and Gerri G if you don’t mind I would like to address this.

Lisa, we understand your passion for Clay as we share in that same passion for our favorite artist. Although we have our “opinions” of certain artists music and yes at times their sexuality when the question arises, BUT as Lauren was saying, it is only our opinion. Everyone was asked what their thoughts were and we gave them. Granted sometimes we don’t like or understand others point of view when it comes to our favorite artist but we must keep in mind that it is only an opinion and not something, at least for us, that we base our lives on. As Gerri G stated, it was strictly an opinion but so what. Same goes for Lauren, she was strictly giving her “opinion”. As long as we all have been writing on this site, I can not recall one time where any of us you mentioned were as mean and nasty as you would portray us to be. I felt Gerri’s frustration in the last statement b/c to be refered to as a “gay hater” was kind of harsh and so far from the truth.
IF it turns out that Clay is really gay, I am inclined to agree with Lauren that he may hide it b/c he comes from a Christian home. However, we ALL agree that his sexual orientation has NOTHING to do with his ability to sing. NO ONE here said that they “hated” Clay b/c of his sexual orientation.

Again, I will say, I really don’t care one way or the other, it’s no skin off my back but you have to keep in mind, we were asked what we thought and thus we expressed our thoughts and feelings on the matter.
I think it’s great you are a “claymate” and you truely love his music. I am sure there are thousands of “Claymates” that share in your passion for him and his music but at the same time you can’t really knock us for basically answering a question with our honest opinion.
I think, if anything, no one is necessarily mad at you for reaming us a new butthole but we just want you to understand that it is only our opinion and nothing we are going to congress about. So, we accept your apology and hope you have a better understanding of where we are coming from.

Gerri G….how long do we have to wait for a name??? LOL I have racked my brain trying to figure it out….can we get a hint??? LOL Also Gerri, I posted this last night but don’t see it, I said to you, for the record, I never thought you were a “gay hater” :) Be good ;)

Lauren….LOL…are you good and calm now? :) You are so funny….

Jeanne-FYI- I posted a comment on this issue last night but don’t see it.

When Clay Aiken was asked in thepast about his sexuality he said several times he was not gay. Why can’t people just believe him and leave it at that. He seems straight enough to me and since the only way in which I will ever be close to the man is through a cd player or an ipod , I can only go by what he has actually been on record having said. If he someday says “ya know what I AM gay” well good for him. My opinion of him will not change. I’ll still love his music. I’ll still want to see him sing. I’ll still want him to be happy. Gay or straight doesn’t matter much to me. People , in general, should just be a little more kind and remember that everyone has feelings. (even famous people…gasp!).

anonymous-it all just boils down to “it doesn’t matter”. Whether or not he is gay, it doesn’t change his voice or his vocal talent. But as with everything in life, people are going to hate and find something wrong with everything. Those kind of people spend their life worried about others and spend their life trying to bash everyone, and before you know it their own life has passed them by.
So don’t stress it. You and all the other “claymates” out there cheer up cause Clay is on fire and your support keeps him going so keep supporting him and don’t worry about the negativity that naturally follows people in the entertainment industry.
Just brush it off and have a great day! :)

WHo cares… I am a heterosexual female….. Does your sexual preference make you who you are ? Does it define you ? I dont remember ever introducing myself to a complete stranger as “Hello, I am Liberty and I am a practicig heterosexual.”
Give me a break. As soon as all the Homophobs get over their fears and the Gays learn that their sexual preference does not define who you are then maybe everyone can get along and not worry about it. WHO CARES !

John confessed that it was a lie and a hoax. His confession is at http://chexxyspearls.blogspot.com/
    on the sidebar.

I get tired of the speculation. I think Clay has had it too. He answered and answered that he isn’t gay. I don’t blame him for refusing to answer anymore. How would you feel if you answered and people treated you like a liar when the truth isn’t the answer they want? I’d be pissed off too.

Im not gay and I love this guy.
He’s changed so many people’s life he has no idea how important he is and how we don’t give a damn to his sexual orientation.
I live in brazil and finding Clay Aiken on youtube was such a coincidence to me as I was looking for some comfort and his voice gave me that.
I had to import his cds because they’re not for sale here and I have them on the loop all the time.
I will always support him and if one day he decides to say he had always been gay, I’d support him even more, because you have to be more than a man to expose yourself in a prejudiced world.

Clay Aiken is a beautiful person— inside and out. Of all the posts I’ve seen here FOCUSED on this sexual orientation, not ONE person cared enough to ask him how he felt, how he was doing, or what was new with him… Well, that changes right now! Hi Clay, how have you been? I sure hope that everything is going well for you– no matter where life has taken you lately. I think about you alot, and I hope that someday, I’ll have the opportunity to get to know you. I think you’re worth it. Even more than that, I thank you for all the good you have done for so many people throughout the entire world. The world is a better place because you are in it.

I’m not going to ask you if you’re gay or not… I really don’t care.. All I realy do care about is that you’re well, happy, and at peace with all that makes your life a meaningful place for you to exist in. My biggest hope?? — Just to have the opportunity to one day, be your friend.

Until that happens… take care, and God Bless :)

    Your friend,

He is completely gay, listen to his voice and look at his appearence. He has NO talent, and he can’t even sing an original song. The few he does sing is completely stalkerish, “I want to be a fly on your wall.” What the heck? How can people like thi sguy when he’s saying he wants to spy on you all the time, he sounds really clingy. My be he wasn’t held enough as a child? Also, he’s totally hidious, he look slike a cat threw up.

Well- Let me just say this- Clay has a beautiful voice, it makes me melt- Always has- : ) A bit on the nerdy side, but gay ? ? Cooome on now- Hasn’t America got better things to worry about- Sheesh! And, just so you know–Umm hum- He isn’t Gay. And, I can personally attest to that my self. How you may ask- Well As spoken from the Man himself Quote ” My personal Life is nobodys business” End Quote So get over it already and get a life!

Hey just because some people are in love with him doesn’t mean he isn’t gay, i know most the women here say he is completely straight, but all of the straight men will tell you he’s a *, you hear it in his voice, see it in his hair, and his appearence, besides he is so f**king stalkerish. Finally, you can tell he’s in denial, besides he has NO talent, I mean come on he’s made what 2 cd’s and they both sucked!

  • OhfortheloveofClaytonAiken
    Apr 10, 2008 at 8:41 pm

5 words for you Jason- Takes one to know one- HA ! And as far as having no talent– How many CD”s have you made ? I rest my case! No Talent–Come on now , Lets get real here. I mean-The man Can sing like no tomorrow- Just take a listen to Solitaire- Neil Sadaka was in tears over it and not because it sucked. HELLO….

This poll is totally inappropriate and should be taken down. It’s all speculation anyway and does absolutely no good to discuss it plus we have no right to even be talking about something as personal as someone’s sex life. But the primary reason is that this poll is bringing the immature and ignorant scum, and has become obscene and senseless.

  • jason
    Apr 12, 2008 at 8:54 am

you lnow what this is a debate site, and if you dont like it the leave. Also if your calling me scum, then you cant honestly say it if you dont personally know me. My opinion on you is that your a ***** so everything is ok.

Apparently some people don’t know the difference between a rational, intelligent debate and vulgar, slanderous obscenities. So tell me, What made you think I was referring to you, Jason, when I said “scum”? See, you do know what’s appropriate and what’s inappropriate afterall.

Well if you agree then why are you still here? I enjoy voicing my opinion because i honestly hate Clay Aiken he is the worse thing to come into enertainment since, “Attack of the redneck zombies.” Also, EVERYONE can tell he’s gay, and everyone who dissagree’s needs to learn that calling people scum or saying they’re ridiculous because they enjoy voicing their opinions needs to just shut it, this is a debate site and an opinion site on the matter of is clay aiken actually gay guy, so let us debate and voice or opinion and BACK OFF!!

  • toby's mom

Jason, I’m going to leave you to debate this issue with whoever is interested and in whatever manner makes you happy.

  • jason
    Apr 13, 2008 at 3:33 pm

Thank you, now was that so hard? Now was that so hard to finally let us continue with our debate? Also its not vulgar when someone debates a topic like this, honestly its not even inappropriate, in todays society we base enertainment on enertainment. Sadly there are people like me who honestly can’t stand certain figures of enertainment. We use sites like this to express what we feel, mainly because our wifes (or husbands) don’t really care on the matter. I only talk about it here because there are alot of people who love him, when he doesn’t have any talent. He copied almost all of his songs from other artists, and some he does have are totally stalkerish, “I want to be a fly on your wall.” Honestly wtf? He’s saying he wants to watch some women change clothes, see who’s she’s dating, wanting to know what she does alone, and says she never leaves his mind. It’s just ridiculous, and if you listen to past interviews, and how he looks and talk you will realize he is totally gay. I know its sad but if you pay enough attention you can tell. I first got into this debate at school, and our assignment was to discover a site that interest us, thats how the whole thing started, but when people fight me and argue and call names, it makes me realize there just in denial of whats actually true.

  • OhfortheloveofClaytonAiken
    Apr 13, 2008 at 10:43 pm

Fight ,Argue and call names?! Listen Mr Potty Mouth ( You wan to act like a child…) All I did was state my opinion when you come back with your vulgar mouth and nasty comments. You did get one thing right “Todays Society” has no morals and YOU are a perfect example of that! I feel sorry for you and more so for your wife because she has to put up with you and your nastieness. And That language just makes you so Macho and Mature…NOT ! Grow Up , Go back to school and get some manners. Toby’s Mom is right on the money.

  • Jeanne
    Apr 13, 2008 at 11:22 pm

If you are actual regular readers of the site, you will know that I have been ill all week and not moderating comments as much as usual.

Jason did cross the line a few times here and some of his comments were either edited or deleted.

I do not feel that this question is inappropriate and if you feel that way about this year old post, I am sorry.

There is more than a “yes” and “no” answer and the fact that less than 100% of people chose “I don’t care” suggests that people want to talk about it.

When you become a celebrity, you must expect certain things to be part of your public life and to be discussed within society.

I would like you to keep this a clean discussion, please, and a debate rather than an argument.

Writing to me with concerns is more than welcome. It would be nice, however, if people could give the benefit of the doubt and email me and say “have you seen this?” rather than launching into a full out tirade.

This isn’t a Clay Aiken fan site and I have put more Clay Aiken content up than for anyone else over the year I’ve been here but I’m not going to ignore this big honking issue. I don’t dwell on it, this was a year ago, but it deserved to be talked about.

I DON’T CARE if Clay is gay but I have every right and appropriateness to ask if the thousands of people who visit my site care.

  • Dani
    Apr 14, 2008 at 5:21 am

And after all that protesting, you didn’t remove any of the offensive content. You’re looking for hits and to make money by letting people bash and hate on Clay. That is so not cool.

That says more about what kind of person you are than you might want to reveal.

  • A'kyra
    Apr 14, 2008 at 5:38 am

She actually did. There was a lot more nonsense up over the weekend. All in all, people have a right to their opinions. When it turns personal towards others, is when it becomes a problem. Jason and Toby’s mom have the right to voice their opinions as everyone else and I think for those who do not like their comments should not let it get to them like this (I know its easier said than done though) but honestly it’s just their opinions. When you start attacking people for their opinions or even the author of the site for allowing people to express themselves, says a lot about you….”It’s amazing the clarity that comes from psychotic jealousy”

  • Jeanne
    Apr 14, 2008 at 10:57 am

Dani, thanks for understanding the part where I said I’m ill (with a lung infection) and having a hard time with things.

It’s amazing to me that if it has to do with Clay Aiken and it’s not all flowers that it leads to chaos.

We can talk about who is overweight, who has a sex tape, who is cheating on who, who is ugly, people who are talentless (yeah, like that’s nice), etc… but this question, which so many people have asked and was brought up after some things happened is like cruelty. Come on.

And would people please stop talking about hits? Do you think this one little post matters compared to Idol nights when I put up about 17 posts at a time? It’s a little rude and insulting because I work hard.

  • A'kyra
    Apr 14, 2008 at 11:09 am

    Jeanne,
I hope you are feeling better.

I too thought that comment was very rude.
There are so many other sites that really go into detail and fights over Clay’s sexuality which is silly. He is still human. He can still sing and act. I’m sure the only people’s opinion that even matters to Clay’s is those close to him like friends and family so all the people waisting their energy being violently angree over someone else’s sexuality…well, it says a lot about them and is actually kind of funny, like Clay would ever ask them out….lol
Keep up the good work Jeanne- you’re the best!

    Feel better mama.

see i tried to even apologize, but i’m still vulgar? Sorry but thats just how we talk in nashville, and if you feel sorry for my wife then dont, she say’s worse then me. For the peopole that say we’re bashing clay aiken some do and some dont, nothing wrong with that, you guys bash on other people all the time, everyone does. For the site, its great finally one you SHOULDN’T get in trouble for voicing your opinion, thats what its for, and no one on here is vulgar, I have a 4.0 and I’m on the dean’s list, so come on just because you see what I may say doesn’t mean you can judge me, you know nothing of me so just shut it and leave if you dont wanna see clay aiken “bashing” then dont come to this site, simple as that.

I have no problem with gay people in fact my favorite actor is Vin Diesel and he openly admitted to being gay, so you guys may want to rethink when you start yelling at people about what their opinions are. Chillax, and realize when you guys say what you are you just sound like idiots.

Sure… he has a great voice… if you like the sound of rhinos copulating. “Gay Achin” 3.0 needs to do a movie sequel to brokeback mountain. According to Billboard.com’s top 100 list he has sold almost as many albums as there are pages in a Dr. Seuss book. …and he has even been quoted saying “if I was invisible”… wait… he already is. BOOO! Clay sucks more than a 40 pound leech on a pair of elephant testicles. Isn’t that just little mean-spirited? If you don’t like him, so what? I don’t either. And if he is gay, you don’t have to support him. I wouldn’t either. But you sound more than a little bitter and mean-spirited. Did he beat you at a chance of being on Idol or something?

I would consider hating someone to be pretty mean-spirited. You can dislike someone and be sick of hearing about them without hating them. That’s pretty strong dude. well I’m a new breed of person, if you go on a game show for singers, lose, and try to make cd’s because there not smart enough to realize not everyone wants to hear or see them, well no one really does, that automatically gives me the right to hate them, also being an american gives me the right to hate people. oo an “I’m Aiken for Clay” feel free to rip Clay’s ass open, make sure your the pitcher tho

sir are you sure that women was always a women?

  • Andrew
    May 8, 2008 at 1:32 pm

You do realize that the top 15 or whatever people automatically get record deals right? And you would turn down a record deal if offered one? Now you are just being stupid. Being an American does not give you a “right” to hate someone. That is not in the Constitution. Being a human being gives you the “right” to commit the sin of hate. That’s right, hate is a sin. Look it up.

  • Andrew
    May 8, 2008 at 1:34 pm

women always a women? What is that supposed to mean?

  • Jason
    May 8, 2008 at 1:35 pm

Ahh that is where you are wrong, the constitution offers freedom of speech and the ability to express your self so it is in the constitution, as for the bible lesson, it is not a sin because god hated the people when he flooded the earth so it mustn’t be a sin if god did it.

    Genesis 6: 5-6

“Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. The lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.”

Redemption in verse 8: “But Noah found favor in the sight of the Lord.”

I just read through chapter 7, and not once did it mention God hating man, which he created in his own image, just sorry for creating man, for they would disobey and become so corrupt. If that was true everyone, including Noah’s family would have been destroyed also. It is more a redemption story than a judgment story anyway.

May you come to find redemption one day also.

  • Andrew
    May 8, 2008 at 1:50 pm

haha well, why else would he destroy the earth if he hadn’t hated them, also why are there tornado’s, floods, poverty…because god loves all soo much he wants us to be happy. It’s getting back at us, for the hatred he has inside because we messed up. Also doesn’t that make him a jealous god also which isn’t that a sin to?

maybe you shouldn’t either, i was never judged, not yet, that happens when your dead. People like you drive people like me out of churches and away from religion because your to hypricital, you think you know everything about god, your on a site that judges people, you used his name in vein and your judges other with foul language, i believe driving others from church is one of the worst sins…hope you sleep well tonight and see you later

He is a jealous God, in that He wants us to only worship Him. As God, don’t you think He has earned that privilege? Jealously of another person is a sin. Being envious of what somebody else has is a sin. God being jealous in wanting our worship? Not even on our humanistic scale can that be a sin.

As far as your questions about calamities (sp?), these are questions that people have asked throughout the ages of time. Without such events, do you think that we would realize our need for a saviour? The Bible says that creation is “groaning” for its creator. Sin entered into this world through Adam and Eve, and that is why there is pain and suffering on this earth.

God doesn’t just want us to be happy, especially here on this earth. He wants us to be happy eternally with him in heaven.

but you admit he is jealous so that makes him a sinner, he has killed hundreds of people, some innocent that is another sin, where does it stop? your almighty god doesn’t follow his own rules

I never took Jesus words out of context. I never took His name in vain in any of my posts here. I am a hypocrite? For what? Sharing my faith with you?

I am sorry that people proclaiming truth bothers you. I never claimed to know everything about God, nobody does. I do claim to be a disciple of Christ, a student of scripture and man wanting only to seek Him and share my faith with others. I am sorry if this makes you feel uncomfortable, but it should if you are not saved.

And just an fyi for ya: I came to this site seeking answers as to whether Clay was gay. My teenage sister was asking for his CD and I was checking.

His jealously is a righteous jealousy that we are incapable of really having. Am I jealous for my wife’s love and affection? You bet! Is that a sin? According to the Word of God, no. This is the same righteous jealousy that our Lord has for his children and His church, which all Christians are a part of.

Our “almighty god” is the one who created all the rules. If he allows calamities to happen and “innocents to die” and you feel that He kills them himself, well I don’t know how to change your opinion on that one. He could be calling some of His children home for all we know.

why come here to check on a cd, if he is gay it shouldn’t matter to you, good religious guy. Also anytime you use his name its using it in vein, thats why they call him lord almighty, and it doesn’t bother me people proclaim the “truth” I’m a christian, its ok to question life and everything in it so that doesn’t make me bad. Your a bad religious worker and if loves everyone, why did my dad die, he was 38, his heart exploded, he was a healthy man and attended church every sunday and wensday, if god loves him so much, why cause him so much pain before dying, he never got to say good bye to anyone, yeah…and almighty god

If his Jealousy is so mighty we human are incapable of having it, what type of jealousy is it?

If Clay Aiken is gay, then I don’t want to promote, advocate or support him in any way in his sinful lifestyle, that’s why. Funny, the disciples called him Lord, and Jesus called God his Father, so me saying Lord, or Saviour, or Father is off limits? Sorry, not what the Word of God says.

I am sorry for your loss. I don’t know why God called your father home, hopefully that is something that you can ask Him one day in person. Don’t think that I haven’t experienced great loss either. In fact, it’s been a little over a year now since my wife and I had a miscarriage with our first child. Something I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. However, I do know this: without sin there would be no death. Death entered the picture because of Adam and Eve’s sin and has passed down generationally since.

We all have our doubts sometimes, yes even I. I hope this is all that you are going through at the moment. Just know that any kind of hate coming from someone is not an indication of Christian attitude and purpose. It is not listed among the Beattitudes that Christ says are examples of Christian service and attitude.

    Maybe the word isn’t jealously?

  • Andrew

a jealously that a father has for a son or daughter perhaps?

  • Jason

jesus called him father god because he WAS HIS SON! Besides your judging clay aiken if you refuse to buy a gay guy’s cd

  • Andrew

    Matthew 7:1
“Do not judge so that you will not be judged.”

Unfortunately, everyone seems to stop there.

    Matthew 7:2
“For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you.”

Well, since I am judging according to the Word of God and by that measure I judge others, and myself, the Word of God tells me I am judging appropriately.

Through Christ, the Father is also our Father.

    Luke 11:1-4
“It happened that while Jesus was praying in a certain place, after He had finished, one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord teach us to pray just as John also taught his disciples.” And He said to them, “When you pray, say: ‘Father, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Give us each day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins, for we ourselves also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation.”

The whole portion is listed in Matthew 6:9-13. So, we are to call Jesus’ father “Father” also.

Andrew, if all you know how to do is get pissy and give scripture, why do you come to this site? You came here wanting to know if he was gay because if so you wouldn’t buy his cd right? Then you got mad when someone calle you out and proved you we’re a fake christian, this site isn’t a debate site over wether or not god loves us, its over the fact that clay aiken is gay, also if you dont want the personal attack on you, maybe you should think before you strike the first blow.

  • Andrew
    May 9, 2008 at 10:12 pm

Well, I am sorry you feel that way, incorrect as you are. I am not “pissy,” and it would be a little difficult for anyone to assume that by reading text on a page without any verbal clues.
I AM a Christian. I believe in Jesus, only begotten of the father, who came to earth as God in human form, to suffer and die in my place. I believe He rose again on the third day as the prophets (and He) fortold. I believe He is the only mediator between God and man. I believe in the Holy Spirit. I believe in the inerrant word of God. I believe Christ is coming again to take His church home and resurrect His people.
As a Christian, I know my ministry is everywhere. Jesus called us to “go out into all the world and make disciples of all peoples.” So, as you see, this site can be used for that purpose. For if God’s children are sent there, we should preach Him, just as the band P.O.D. was called to preach to those attending OzzFest.
Jesus loves you and wants you to be a part of His kingdom. He wants to bring the answers and healing that you no doubt have.

“Heavenly Father, I lift up Jason to you now. He is struggling with a lot of things Lord God, as he has mentioned in this forum. I ask Lord, that you heal him and give him the answers that he seeks so that he can become the man of God that you want him to be Lord. Father, I just lift up his soul to you now that he might seek after you and might come to know you better. All these things I pray in Jesus name. Amen”

So good to see Clay on Jimmy Kimmel right now! I’ve met him in Raleigh a few times under professional circumstances. I’m gay, he says he isn’t, and I’m good with that. He has NO reason to lie. Especially to me. We’ve worked together, eaten together, and such. I used to have my own opinion, but then i met him. As a gay man, I’ll take him at his word.

This reminds me of the same type thing that was done to Jerry Seinfeld for years when he was totally into his career and didn’t date. Clay’s friends from school stated he’s not gay and he says he isn’t. Probably what he should do,even if he’s straight, just come out and state yes,I’m gay. Then all of these vultures just might leave him alone.

Well, I guess he isn’t completely gay, since he reportedly impregnated a woman…of course without actually having sex with her. Or maybe they had sex, but she couldn’t get pregnant without artificial insemination. Whatever. Why do 50 year olds want to have kids at that age?

Why would any Kelebrity, even one as Vastly Overrated and repulsive to mine eye as Gayyy Aiken, go a-wandering around in ordinary chat rooms? That would be like Block Dudson in ages past taking out a gay personal ad [if such things existed in those crummy days]. The multitudes of tin ears who find that banshee screeching of his anything close to Good Singing is stunning enough, but that after this news [like that equally vomitable “singer” M. Jackson] of Fake Fatherhood, which route no redblooded straight male worth his hairy cojones would go unless as a last resort, anyone could doubt that the little Culkin-faced spikyhaired supernerd is deck-the-halls gay is sailing down De Nile right along with him. Unlike many others, old Clay Gay just don’t have the fortitude to Do It with a woman for real to even attempt preserving the lie - the real he-men of old Hollywood who could carry it off must be spinning. But just like in those days, with deluded females swooning over them right and left, it would be career [such as it is] suicide for Gayyy Aiken and his pixie-dust twin Sticky Fartin to admit being the ho-mo. He better have made some wise investments, because [hopefully] sooner or later when his alleged talent is Stale News and his public-fraud parade comes to a merciful end, he’ll need it to cushion him from having to work like
