Is Kat’s Album a McPhailure?

With her single “Over It” sliding down the charts faster than Paris Hilton loses her panties, the future of her album is looking uncertain (it’s not even in the top 100). Has anyone listened to the other tracks? I have to admit that I do not think this is a particularly strong CD and I am not sure she’ll be able to make a miraculous comeback. With a mere 305,478 units sold, this album has been certified gold but it has all but stopped selling. If you are a McPhan, you should help her out and buy her album. Sorry, Kat, it’s going to take more than knee-high pleather boots to make it in the biz… Maybe she should get better writers. Any suggestions?

wow what a dumb post here.? Katharine’s album has been certified GOLD. Her single “over it” is about to go GOLD. I think you better get OVER IT!!
Sorry, Amanda, but gold (she sold 305,478 units, unfortunately) is not platinum. Nor is it double or triple platinum. I wish Kat had more fans like you – maybe then her single would not have disappeared from the charts. I thought the song was good, the rest of the album is not worthy of her looks and talent.
She is gorgeous, though, so hopefully this won’t get her down.
Yes, she has sold 305,478 units. However RCA has just shipped another 500,000 units. Being that this is the 1st album, and that it is very possible of going platinum by the end of summer, I just am saying that this blog ‘Is Kat’s Album a McPhailure?’is ridiculous.Just watch and see if her upcoming 2nd single doesn’t put an end to this dumb blogpost.
Amanda, notice that I didn’t say “Kat’s Album is a Failure” but instead asked if it was. That’s a big difference. I hope she goes platinum but if she doesn’t, I certainly won’t be disrespectful enough to call you dumb. I’ve got my fingers crossed that you prove me wrong.
I don’t know Amanda… The stats speak for themselves. Not much one can do to defend that. Also I didn’t realize that the album had a production problem with RCA. If RCA made a production error, than the next 500,000 units should sell out fast, in which case McPhee will be called McComeback Queen.
no way i mean you Jeanne. The dumb is bringing this blog question up in the 1st place. A gold album ,a very soon to be gold single does not need a question as to whether it is a McPhailure. It is a HUGE success for a 1st album.
