Is Kellie Pickler Really Just Clueless?

Okay – we’ve all heard and seen Kellie Pickler on television behaving like a typical blonde ditz. It’s actually kind of endearing, so I haven’t said much but this is just interesting…
You may know that a few days ago, I reported that Kellie is dating one of my favorite Canadian NHL hockey players, Jordin Tootoo. If you didn’t catch that post, click here.
Anyway, he is an Inuk from Nunavut, Canada’s only Native-managed province. It’s a big deal for him to be in the NHL. In talking about their relationship in a recent interview, Kellie disclosed that they had been dating since January. She also plans to visit his hometown of Rankin Inlet this summer (trust me, she won’t like it) and this is what she said about what she’ll do on her upcoming trip:
“I am this country bumpkin and (Tootoo is) an Eskimo. I’m going to build an igloo!”
hmmm… Eskimos and Igloos? That should go over real well up north!
She is clueless! She is clueless as to how stupid her clueless act really is!!!
There was a big issue with her alleged “cluelessness” when she was on the show. She said she never had Salmon before (remember when she was trying to say Salmon…oh geez) but folks in her hometown say she is lying…then she said she never had sex or something and of course every boy she “freaked” back home came forward with that one….
She is a ditz b/c she doen’t know enough to know she bad a faking being a ditz! What a maron!

She is pitiful. An embarrassment to the human race. Ugh, she makes me cringe!
Did you see her on the Jay Leno Christmas Special last year? That was the absolute worst. Kellie went to Chinatown of all places, and started yapping at all the various Asian people there with her typical country bumpkin schtick, “Thiz iz zoo X-Ah-ting! Ah’ve neh-ver met a CHA-neeze person before!”
Kellie cannot interact with different ethnicities without making an ass of herself.
OK, some of you guys just have to lighten up. She was making a joke about the Eskimo and Igloos. When she was interviewed about Jordin by a reporter she used the proper term (Inuk) for his ethnicity, and laughed about the igloo comment. And for anyone who didn’t get the “country girl in the big city” shtick on Leno, well, you’re the one who is dense. Leno himself, a fair judge of comedic talent, raved about her performance which was all ad lib. He praised her timing, and ability to pull off the gag with charm and wit. The interaction with the lady at the fragrance counter was hilarious. Too many people take everything she says as if she is serious. Her light-hearted take on the world and her ability to make fun of herself is part of what most people find charming. I have yet to read or hear about anyone who has met her in person and spent any amount of time with her not come away impressed, charmed, and totally won over by Kellie. As far as the boys back in Albemarle, I’ve heard that before, and that just doesn’t exist. The only one that has spoken is Will, and he has backed her 100%.
Kellie is a lot smarter than you might think…she has an album that is a best seller, she has had at least two very successful music videos, all this in a matter of about three or four years, oh no wait, was it was a year ago………….she must be pretty dumb, it takes most artists years to attain the notoriety that she has accomplished in one year…..Go Kelly!!!!
A’kyra – it was the “what’s a mink?” comment when Simon called her a “sexy little minx” that got me! Yikes!
amanda – the comment, however misinterpreted, was cringe-worthy. I didn’t see that Jay Leno special, unfortunately (or maybe I was lucky???). Sounds interesting. I have, however, heard people say that she has had some issues when interacting with different cultures. I don’t know if anyone is suggesting she is racist or anything but I have heard some grumblings.
James – I know how you feel and I’m glad you are bringing a different perspective to the discussion. I do, however, see the need for someone to maybe suggest that Kellie pick her jokes more carefully. She may inadvertently offend people and it could affect her public image. I do, also, appreciate your commentary about her hometown experiences. There’s always two sides to a story, right?
treasurerof2 – I don’t doubt for a second that Kellie is smart. She seems like more of a strategist to me. She definitely knows how to sell herself which is important in the biz!
Ok whatever…so yeah she may have some smarts( ugh that’s a stretch) but that doesn’t take away from the fact that 1. she is a liar…would you like an example???

KELLIE’S LIE #1: “I’ve barely sung in front of people before.”
Apparently Miss Pickler won a county beauty pageant when she was 17 and went on to compete in the state pageant – she sang at both pageants! Also, last year Kellie competed in a North Carolina version of American Idol called Gimme the Mike where she won 2nd place!
KELLIE’S LIE #2: “I am incredibly naive.”
According to the source on Votefortheworst, Kellie is supposedly a partier who uses, or used drugs and alcohol heavily and dated multiple guys at once…(what’s wrong with that?)…also, she’s a bit of a con, trying to squeeze $2,000 from a friend so she could go make a record…
KELLIE’S LIE #3: “I’m just so gosh darn likeable.”
Apparently, not just Votefortheworst.com, but TMZ.com has reported that Kellie is becoming fairly arrogant in Hollywood, telling the chef that he’s lucky be cooking for her. She also just dumped a boyfriend of four years after getting her ticket to Hollywood.
KELLIE’S LIE #4: “I should be the American Idol because I deserve it.”
The site suggests Kellie hasn’t had the hard life she pretends to have, “shopping every week at the nice malls in Charlotte, driving a new Honda Accord at 16, and having her nails done every week does not describe a girl working to make ends meet at the local Sonic for maybe 10 to 20 hours a week tops
2. she is an idiot for trying to play on the dumb routine…She may sell a few albums to some folks that totally adore her fakeness (mental and physical) All in all she is headed down Lindsey Lohan Lane, Paris Ave, Brittany Blvd…whichever you choose, she will be the next ditz in the paper laid out drunk somewhere!
If she were genuine it would be a little different b/c she doesn’t know any better but she knows what she is trying to do…it won’t last to long though…so let her live it up.
But here is something very interesting to read…it gives some proof of her major lies like she hasn’t seen her mom since she was 2….hmmmm…It’s kind of long but worth the read.

Oh Hell no! First of all who the heck are YOU to go around bashing people on this site!!!!! Ok so I made a spelling error…whoopdee doo! ZigZag – I am editing your posts. This is extraordinaily unnecessary. If you want to say things about me, that is your prerogative but do NOT insult the other visitors. I draw the line very clearly there.
Also, I read this story through several news outlets so apparently other writers, at least in Canada, thought this was newsworthy.
Additionally, I write about all things American Idol related. Sometimes I want to write about it and, at other times, I am just reporting what I find.
Finally, you can rant, rave and call people names all you want but you cannot change what happens and is reported in the media. I never said Kellie wasn’t doing well. I think I’ve actually written about it. Hey, a few days ago, I wrote a post wishing her and Tootoo luck. I have also, however, heard about what A’kyra and others have brought to the discussion.
By the way, if you hate my writing so much I would remind you that there’s a lot of sites for you to visit. Perhaps, something very intellectual and in favor of all of your viewpoints – a land of milk and honey where people do not make typing errors (A’kyra is quite a good writer, from what I have seen on this site, and it is unfair to say what you did to her). There’s no need to even address me as “Poor Jeanne” because I’m paid to do this whereas you are lurking on my site complaining about others not having a life while you post abusive comments for which you are not monetarily compensated. That doesn’t make much sense either.
Seriously Zig-hag why are you still here??? Why do you continue to read Jeanne’s posts?? Your “life” must obviously consist of talking bad about REAL people…We know you adore the superficial things in life like Pickler and are probably a fan of Lohan, Paris, and Spears…and that is all fine and good no one really has a problem with that it’s just when you step in and start talking bad about other bloggers’ parents and even the blog itself that you are bashing people on, it becomes a bit psycho and tells a little tale of your so called “life”.

I do want to thank you for clearing up the “comedienne” mix-up. I have to admit that I did not know that, but I guess that comes with the territory of being human and not knowing everything, but I thank you for sharing that.
However, I do have to disagree with your point that Kellie is a comedienne. I don’t think her “airhead” responses to her interview questions are enough to classify her as “a female comic”. I would think that she is more of a funny interviewee more so than a comedienne. But that is essentially up to each individual to decide.
You seem a little offended by Jeanne criticizing you and or your comments but you are failing to realize that YOU started the whole thing. Granted you say now that it was just a bit of humor and I should lighten up but I would hardly call your comments to me regarding me and my family humorous. Up until you came on and verbally bashed me and others, I have never been nasty to anyone here. So for you to say that you were messing with me, even at my mom’s expense, is just plain wrong. My comments are based on the topics and in any discussions we have had here, there may have been a debate or two but we all have never taken it out of context as you have. If I have ever corrected someone on a statement made I never have been nasty to them, isn’t that right Lauren?
On the other hand the nasty approach you took was uncalled for. Ok, you may have voiced your opinion on the topic but the bulk of your message was spent being rude to the other members. That is not fair and I agree that if you dislike some of the comments, topics, or even the Author, you should just go to a different site and chat amongst your own.
And for the record, I do handle constructive criticism very well, but what I did not and can not handle too well is the level of unprofessionalism you showed when you spoke ill of me, my family and everyone on this site. You are almost acting as if you are god of the blog world and have the right to judge others. You do have the right to say what you wish but most normal people have the common knowledge and respect to acknowledge the fact that for the most part these comments are personal OPINIONS and we too have the right to express ourselves as you do. We do not defame other writers as you do, we welcome their comments and if there is a debate of some sort, we handle it like adults, we don’t start name calling and say things like “your mama”. Granted someone did call you a lunatic, but you did start it by using what is called “fighting words”… which are not protected by the first amendment, thus making her retaliatory response appropriate.
It’s great that you are a big Kellie supporter and love the comedy in her interviews. Just keep in mind that not everyone feels the same and just b/c we do not feel as passionate about about her as you do, does not give you the right to write such bad things about us.
