Jennifer Hudson "Spotlight" – New Single!

Former American Idol contestant and Oscar-winner, Jennifer Hudson has a new single called “Spotlight.“ The track is off of her self-titled debut album which is due out this fall.
I’m not exactly sure how I feel about this as a first single. The song doesn’t show off her voice as much as I would have liked. What do you guys think? Check out the song for yourselves and tell me what you think.

I absolutely love Jennifer and I freaking love this song. This song showcases a different side to Jennifer and it shows how versatile she is. I purchased Spotlight on iTunes yesterday….I so can’t wait until the full length is released on September 30th.
LOVE THE SONG AND ABSOLUTELY LOVE JENNIFER. What a voice! Jennifer has shown by her first release that she is not going to let the dry, boring, pop-tart listeners dictate to her the style(s) of music she will do. Diva came out the gate soulful and funky…neo Soul all the way!

I’m really feelin this song “Spotlight” I can relate to where Jennifer is coming from. It also gives me that ole school feelin unlike a lot of songs that are being made today. I can’t wait for the album. Jennifer you are on your way to becoming an Icon! Keep it coming baby!
Been 50ish I dont normally listen to this kind of music , however jennifer has a awesome voice and this song shows her voice is god given, I pray she does’nt let money/entertainment stray her away from what she was designed for in her voice.. I feel her grief about her family today. Jennifer, reach out to the world in song sweet thing that we need to pray for our enemies and need to seek gods peace with-in to save one another. heres a title: GOD’S WAY IN
spotlight is a great single and one of the best female singers in the whole hollywood world. she out beat all female singers. just give her strenght to move on from her family passing. keep up the good work.
