Jon Peter Lewis Sends Prayers to Jennifer Hudson

Just like the rest of us, Jon Peter Lewis, who was a finalist alongside Jennifer Hudson on the third season of American Idol, has been shaken up by the murder of her mother (Darnell Donnerson) and brother (Jason) and the abduction of her 7-year-old nephew, Julian King. Jon described the tragedy as “heartbreaking” and added that his “prayers are with Jennifer.”
The pair, who traveled together on the American Idol tour during the summer of 2004, have kept in touch via email and text message.
Jon is also thinking what, I believe, people have been thinking since the news broke yesterday - Jennifer’s star has been on the rise since leaving the show with her Oscar win, appearance in several movies, album and recent engagement. “Before yesterday everything was fine” he said.
He mentioned that, although this has got to be an extremely tough and “turbulent” time for Jennifer, her belief in God and support of her friends will help her make it through.
