I didn’t see the actual event, but that comment appears to be kind of offensive to me. I’m come across quite a few people online who are of the “don’t-do-it-until-you’re-married” variety, and I usually get the feeling that they think the rest of us are loose and slutty. So, yeah, I find it offensive.

If she wants to wear one, fine. But implying that anyone who doesn’t is a slut is rather rude. Mind you, so is bashing someone for their decision to wear one.

Maybe everybody needs to keep their snarky comments to themselves. You know what your mother used to say: “If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all!”

I really don’t think the Jonas Brothers Jordin Sparks or anyone who chooses not to have sex until marriage needs anyone’s approval or diapproval for that matter. I think it is commendable these days for a young person to make that commitment especially with all the peer pressure they have that encourages them to go out there and be sluts. And I think Paris Hilton co-signing and saying yeah she supports them is absolutely ridiculous. The biggest slut in the whole world wants to co-sign for virgins….now that’s comedy.

I commented on Jordin’s remark on the promise ring but in the wrong place. I will say again she definitely did the right thing. Most of these entertainers that have 0 morals usually say exactly what they feel like stating. Its about time we heard from the other side. GO JORDIN!

Way to go, Jordin. Considering the fact she is what, around 18 yrs old – my daughter is 17 and she has referred to the sexual kids at school – girls and guys – as sluts. For Jordin’s, the Jonas Brothers, Miley, David A., etc age group to show respect and pride for their bodies and reputations is an honorable thing. I thought this Russell Brand guy was awful. Where in the world did they find him anyway? I had never heard of the guy.

The media is a joke. One day they are bashing the latest VP choice since her 17 yr old daughter is pregnant and next they bash the kids that are vocal about being offended because they choose abstinence and take offense to being made fun of for it.

I am proud of Jordin.

I was so proud of Jordin for standing up like that. I couldn’t help but stand up and clap when I heard her say that. That host was so rude and obnoxious- the show was hard to sit through really. He didn’t even say a tasteful joke that was tolerable, he was down right rude. I figured Jordin was just sick of all the negative talk about the promise rings when it was first revealed about her, she got a lot of negative feed back so she took offense. I honestly did not think that there would seriously be such negativity or offens to what she said, I’m definitley surprised by that.

Brittani B is totally right. i’m not offeneded, and i don’t wear a ring. but i do believe in what the ring symbolizes. jordin just proved even more to me that she’s my hero. <3 i’m so happy she stood up like that. i saw her in the audience when that freaky dude was bashing the jonas bros. i knew she’d have something to say but i didn’t acutally expect her to say it. so i’m SO happy she did!!! haha, i love you so much jordin!!! <3
