Jordin Sparks - Hollywood Power Player

When I hear the words “power play” I think of hockey but I guess that’s just the sports fan in me. Anyway… Jordin Sparks was named a Hollywood Power Player by Us Weekly.
The Glendale teen is crowned “The People’s Choice” in the magazine issue that went on sale Friday. Editors credit the 17-year-old’s “powerful pipes and girl-next-door good looks” as the top-rated American Idol show’s “saving grace.”
Sparks, the TV show’s youngest winner, has a record deal and an album due out Nov. 20. She wraps up her summer Idols tour today in Manchester, N.H.
Does anyone think this is a bit premature? I don’t mean that in a bad way. I’m just saying that sometimes it’s a mistake to say this kind of stuff about someone who is still trying to make it. Even on American Idol - if a judge praises a contestant too much, I think it puts them in danger sometimes.
Oh well. It doesn’t matter… CONGRATS, JORDIN!!!

I do think it is a bit premature. I mean, to call her the “Hollywood Power Player” is not suiting because there are so many more people in Hollywood who deserve that more than Jordin. People who have done greater things than Jordin(at this point). I’m probably going to get attacked by a bunch of Jordin fans but I’m just telling it like it is.

It is not only that she is too young, I seriously doubt she is in charge of her own career at this point, her parents have more power over her career than she does.
Granted she has been trying for a career for several years now, trying all the different ways, but I wish that she and most young idols could finish their education first.
