Kellie Pickler: "I Was Just Crumbling" Inside
It’s always sad to me when you hear that, despite how great things looked on the outside, someone’s life was in shambles. Former American Idol finalist, Kellie Pickler, recently revealed that while her country career was taking off, she was suffering in her own personal hell. “Everything in my professional life seemed great,” she said. “But in my personal life, I was just crumbling.”
What was happening? Reportedly, she not only was suffering from depression but she also experienced severe reactions to her medication. At the same time, she was having family problems (surprise) and trying to get over her breakup with Nashville Predators NHL hockey player, Jordin Tootoo. Then, her father got sent back to jail and her absentee mom showed up. Talk about drama!
At least she can say that things are looking up – she’s got a new boyfriend (Nashville songwriter Kyle Jacobs), she released her second album and she won three Country Music Television Awards. I’m so happy Kellie seems to be getting past some of the hard times and I hope things continue on this path for her!
I know some people really don’t like Kellie and make fun of her an stuff, but you have to give this girl credit. She’s been through a lot in her life and to still come out with some positivity like she has, it’s pretty amazing. I’m so glad she is doing well. I have to admit, I wasn’t a huge fan of hers at first either. I kinda thought she was annoying, but the more I’ve seen of her and got more of her story, I’ve changed my mind. I give her a lot of credit too because with everything she went through that could’ve stopped her from reaching her dream and coulda turned her down a bad path, but she stuck with it and got through it all. Look at her now.
