Kelly Clarkson Denies Lesbian Rumors

I’ll admit that even I have wondered but the original American Idol winner, Kelly Clarkson, has denied rumors that she is a lesbian.  She recently told PopEater.com: "I get that all the time.  People are like, ‘Are you secretly a lesbian? Because I’d really love it.’ Lesbians tell it to me all the time. I’m like, ‘I’m glad it works for you and I wish I liked women like that because oftentimes men are very hard for me, but I happen to like boys.’"

As if there was any doubt after what she already had said, she reiterated that she could “never be a lesbian” but the reason she gave was… interesting.  She said that she would never want to date someone like herself since she’s a “crazy person.” 

So, what is she saying – all women are crazy?  I’m not offended or anything but I am confused.  It got even more strange for me when Kelly said that even a gay guy would be fine when she was asked about who she envisions when she sings her new single, “My Life Would Suck Without You.”  She said:  "I need some kind of stable, quiet man. I don’t really care if you’re black, white, yellow, gay, straight, crazy, whatever," Kelly reveals. "As long as you’re cool and you like the music, and you’re coming out to have a good time at the shows, I don’t really care."

Wow.  I hope it’s because she’s thinking of that song in a non-romantic way.  Hasn’t she ever seen movies like The Object of My Affection?  Jennifer Aniston’s character fell for her gay best friend (played by Paul Rudd) and, well… it didn’t exactly go well.
