Kelly Clarkson Refused to Capitalize on AIDS, Orphans…
With a new single, “Never Again,” to push, Kelly stood up to pressure to play it on the Idol Gives Back charity show because she felt the vengeful breakup song didn’t jive with the spirit of the show.
“People are starving and dying and I’m up there singing some bitter pop song?” she told Elle. “And believe me, everyone wanted me to sing it. Because they are jaded and they have no soul. Imagine sitting in a room full of people totally against you. Can’t they hear themselves speaking? Capitalize on AIDS? Are you kidding? Insulting an entire nation of people? I just refused.” Now if only America could choose all its pop stars, maybe we’d hear more talk like this. We’re down with bringing democracy to Hollywood.

Now its beginnng to sink as to why Clive Davis and his gang hate Kelly. She is to real. I am starting to love her..GO KELLY

I agree. She is definitely earning points concerning her personality and convictions. I just wish she didn’t have to sacrifice sales for it. It’s too bad. Shame on Clive.
