Kelly Clarkson’s Billboard CD Review

With Kelly Clarkson’s highly controversial album, “My December” coming out earlier this week, the reviews have started to really come in. Here’s Billboard’s review:
Despite the tabloid drama surrounding “My December,” what counts here is, Are there hits? The vinegar-and-pissed-off “Never Again,” while a top 10 Billboard Hot 100 hit on download sales, got a hasty brush-off from top 40. The reflective but equally fretful “Sober” is just hitting radio, with the jury out. On the whole, “My December” is melodically, instrumentally and lyrically combative — a far cry from America’s embraceable sweetheart. The uptempo “One Minute” is among the only playful cuts, with its rapid-fire give-and-take verses, while “Be Still” and “Maybe” offer acoustic relief from the onslaught more than halfway through the set. “My December” is hardly a scorecard of top 40 hits, but it does demonstrate an artist eager to spread wings and search for her own voice against what Clarkson asserts was a heavy corporate hand in previous efforts.
Hey – this is a lot better than some of the things I have read and I think I have to agree. This album really does feel like a new beginning and while it isn’t my favorite Kelly Clarkson album musically, it’s probably my favorite for her as a person and an artist.

i still loved her until now.. her album sux.. albums is horribel i shouldnt have boughtened it.. i should have just gotten it online off a blog or something.. what happened.. ! her songs where all goth and depressing-suicidal-esque!
All Kelly has to do is, wait. If this album does not make it to the top 10, with a great talent like hers, she can come right back. with something else, but never give up.
I also think that the cover or this album is “Beautiful”
I’m sorry but all these people keep putting down kelly’s new cd! It’s really upsetting because i love her new album! I love kelly clarkson! I don’t care want any of the people say about her album it’s the best! I think people are feeding into because of what the tabloids are saying about her
i love this album as well….its her as an artist being herself….not letting someone else do everything for her….she rocks!! keep on rocking kelly!!
kelly i a one of our biggest fans im pretty sure that everybody tells you that but im just going to be straight with you, you keep doing your tang mama and don let nobody bing you down and the album was great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kell, are we expected to care what you think when you just used the word “boughtened”? Here is a thought, open a book and turn the iPOD off. Then, when you have learned something, give this record a listen..it is smarter that the other stuff. She should have arranged the song order in a different manner, but as teenagers have ruined the music industry, (and therefore music artists) that no longer matters.
