Kimberley Locke Talks About Britney Spears
At the 2007 Elle Awards, Kimberley Locke couldn’t help but comment on Britney Spears‘ recent performance at the VMAs.
Here’s what she said:
“It was a mess! A mess, mess, MESS! Why even go on? I can’t believe a mediocre singer would be given so many opportunites and not take advantage of them. She was embarrassing. A complete MESS!”
Ouch - but so true. Rarely does a person who has had the public struggles that Brit Brit has had have so much public support for a supposed “comeback.” Although, I think MTV exploited her, I do hear what Kim is saying - you are rarely given a second chance in life and Britney is blowing hers :(

She was right though. Britney has been given so many chances and she could have really came back strong here but she just didn’t. MTV should not have let her perform in that condition…but what can you do it’s all about the money and “power” now-a-days. Sad though.
Do you think Britney will take Simon, Paula, and Randy up on their offer? If she does, she will be huge and so will these three and the whole gang at AI.

Ouch indeed. It is one thing when us “civilians” trash a performer, another for a professional to do it.
Once The VMA was a commitment, Britney had to go on, prepared or not. The show is scripted and scheduled. You can’t back out at the last minute. The question is, in what delusion did Britney sign up for this and where are her friends and advisors?

Kimberly LOcke should not talk after the fiasco she pulled recently lying to Billboard magazine that she, Ruben Studdard and Clay Aiken were going to be touring together next year.

Actually, yes, she could NOT talk about it or at least be a bit more diplomatic. Kim hasn’t experienced the chaos that girl has, and while she’s a miles better singer than Britney, she’s also not walked in her shoes. A little compassion would have endeared Kim to me more than that commentary.
Even if it is true it was a MESS, a fellow performer should take the high road.
YMMV, of course….

It was so refreshing to finally hear a celebrity tell the truth about another celebrity. I’m sick of all these famous people with no talent being praised to high heaven. This is just my opinion,but J.Timberlake is a perfect example. If one more person brags about what a great dancer he is I’ll be sick. I was a dancer so I know a little of what I speak-

Kim should not trash another person…no matter who they are. Would Kim like to be trashed by a celebrity? Britainy made a committment and had no choice to follow through. Ihave heard all kinds of rumors about Kim but would not post them on the board.
