Leslie Hunt on Life After American Idol

Leslie Hunt didn’t win this past season of American Idol but that doesn’t matter – she’s back in Chicago, working the circuit and doing what she loves.  She’s even releasing an album sometime next year.  

She sat down for an interview with Chicago’s Daily Herald – here’s a preview of what she had to say:

"I’ve been doing my own thing long before deciding to audition for such a crazy show… I just realized I’m not trying to be Tori Amos anymore," she says. "I was very introspective; if the song didn’t make me cry, it’s nothing. I’m not trying to write about unrequited love anymore" (she says of her upcoming album).
