Melinda Doolittle Picked as Best Role Model
Kelli Turner, a reader of the Tennessean, won two tickets to Sunday’s Fashion for Everybody!, the Eating Disorders Coalition of Middle Tennessee’s fashion show.
Readers were asked to submit the name of this year’s best role model, someone who is completely at ease in his or her own skin.
“Nashville’s Melinda Doolittle should definitely be considered a role model for today’s young girls,” Kelli writes. “An attractive young woman in her own right, Melinda’s positive attitude and radiant spirit make her even more attractive.
“It also doesn’t hurt that she can sing circles around most of the ‘pop-tarts’ we hear on the radio. We need more ‘Melindas’ in the entertainment industry and fewer ‘Britneys’ and “Lindsays.’ “
Nice!!! It’s good to see that there are people in the world with common sense :)
