Okay, sure, Melinda Doolittle does look a little less polished than when she wears makeup but I challenge anyone to find someone who’s skin looks that beautiful without touch ups! WOW! It doesn’t matter, the rest of the pictured American Idol cast look pretty rough too!
Melinda doesn’t even look that different. Good for her. I’ve seen some people without make up, and it looks tragic!(Ex: Oprah)

Yes, Alan and Louise, like rivers that flow from the same source, Melinda’s fans have many names (I am Backup #740 and Teamer #6), but she considers all of us to be her supporters. She told us so on the blogtalkradio.com show created by MelindaFan.net (now MD Street Team); and she shows all of us how much she appreciates our support every time we get within hugging distance! Melinda Album is for fall. This past week Melinda finally finished the vocals on her CD! All of that happens quickly then we will see her CD on shelves for Fall! Also, keep your eye out for her first official single that should be hitting airwaves in the coming weeks. Melinda is going to be throwing a lot of music at us in the coming months so get ready!

Great meals take longer to prepare, talita; and dinner is almost ready! Melinda made her solo debut at the Nashville Summer Jazz And More Concert on August 31. She performed gems from Idol (Since You Been Gone, I’m a Woman, My Funny Valentine), as well as new songs from her CD (a funky version of Dust My Broom) including her new single, It’s Your Love (a soaring love ballad). The single comes this month and the full CD next month. Melinda’s music is full of the promised ‘grit’ with a dash o’ hot sauce!

Good news for you Melinda Doolittle fans! She’s set to release her debut album titled, Coming Back to You on Hi-Fi Recordings in January 09. Produced by Grammy-nominated producer Mike Mangini (Joss Stone, Run DMC, The Jonas Brothers), Coming Back to You was recorded with a team of live musicians in Nashville and New York City.
The first single, “It’s Your Love” will be released to radio in October.

Christmas is a little over a month away. Where is the Christmas CD that was promised in Feb.? I’m ready for Christmas music a la Melinda, but it looks like my Christmas is going to be a “long winter’s nap” with no Melinda songs to wake up to.

The promise of the Christmas CD was made in Feb. long before any Wall Street problems. I should not believe what I hear no matter how much I want to believe it. I guess I don’t understand the time frame it takes to get the product to the people. But, it seems other people from Idol can do it faster. Sorry, just disappointed.

Yes, lots of plans were derailed once fall arrived; and yes, that’s how far ahead you have to make those plans. Getting your product to market faster does not a chartbuster make – as we have seen.
I have heard every track on Coming Back To You (some live in Nashville last Labor Day weekend) and I know Melinda’s Cd will have impact and sustainability. There will always be time for a Christmas CD, but there’s only one debut and that’s where resources should go.

Calista, Makeup is not important to me. It’s what’s inside that counts. Melinda will never need makeup.
I do not live close to or anywhere near Nashville so I don’t have the opportunity to hear or see Melinda in person. All I want for Christmas is a Melinda CD, and that’s not going to happen, with or without makeup.

I go to the store yesterday for Melinda’s album. At the store I am told it will not be available until next week. What has happened? I have waited so long, now longer! They make Melinda look bad and me feel sad. Another dream gone down the drain!
Talita, you really should register at Melinda’s official web site for the latest info, fan store and more. You can get the CD from Amazon (my pre-ordered CDs arrived on Feb 3) and Walmart, as well as her official site too.

I would just like to write old-fashioned fan letter to Melinda for her to know I am liking her singing and want to buy her album. Does anyone know an address where I can send letter? Thanking anyone who will help me. You people who try to help me are nice.
