Melinda’s Face During Jordin’s Performance
So many of you have written in to ask if I saw Melinda Doolittle’s face during Jordin Sparks’ performance. I did but I did not have a screenshot of it. TallFreak has graciously provided me with one. It is priceless. Melinda’s probably just concentrating on what Jordin’s doing but I cracked up last night. In this shot, even Chris Richardson looks a little taken-aback but he is a Blake Lewis fan, so it’s understandable.

I felt she was pulling for Jordin. Melinda is pure class and she wants the best for her Idol-friends. Jordin did herself proud and Melinda was just holding her breath pulling for her to do the song well, which she did. I have the utmost respect for Melinda and wouldn’t expect anything but the best from her in all situations. So, being her fans, so you appreciate that in her I’m sure.

I can’t believe how people just have to stick a knife in someones back and twist awa. Why the name calling Tim? What has Melinda done to you? Or anyone for that fact?
I can see people not liking her music, but why make fun of her???

Tim!!!! That’s terrible! I was really surprised to see that so many people thought she looked like Shrek. That’s rough!
Randomguru - I was thinking the same thing.
Suzi, however, has a point. Melinda is so classy that I have a hard time believing this is malicious. Although, she may not have known the camera would be on her.

actually, i was just kidding and being silly. :o)
i really feel the same way Suzi feels about Melinda. Melinda is a genuinely nice and humble person, yet she’s this amazing singing sensation. she is amazing and i can’t wait till her big CD comes out.
she deserves to be the winner of AI, and the day she was eliminated from AI was the last day i watched the show, out of respect for her talent.
paula abdul was right when she said that Melinda had already made it. and i’m 100% certain she’s going on to a big career in the music business.

Name calling is not an adult thing to do. Melinda is a classy lady that amazing singing talent, she will go a far way in the industry. Simon will definately make sure she is signed to a recording contract and I know she will excell at what she does. There is no hatred in that ladies heart and I really don’t think she looks like shrek.

Melinda made the Winans look like they were her backup singers tonight. Can you imagine how she felt performing WITH them instead of BEHIND them??? Oh, the joy!!!

I was so proud of her last night, I sat with tears in my eyes…this young lady captured my heart from day one. She will make all her fans proud. BTW have you all heard her studio version of There Will Come A Day? O’h my Lord does her voice shine in that song….

I thought Melinda was thinking how grateful she was that she wasn’t being forced to sing the lamest Idol finale song ever. She and Blake both dodged a bullet by not winning.

Jordin and Melinda should have been the 2 finalists, Blake Lewis held on far too long. When it came to straight singing he could carry a tune but his voice has no substance. The beatboxing was his only claim to fame. How he beat out Melinda is a mystery to me. Jordin won because she (and Melinda) were the best vocalists.

wow! i almost forgot about this….
well, it’s been awhile since the final actually took place, and i just think that any of the top 3 contestants could’ve won the competition. they were all very talented and deserving….
