My Chat with American Idol’s Kimberly Caldwell

I was fortunate enough to get a phone call from American Idol season two finalist, Kimberly Caldwell, earlier this week and I’ve got to say that she is a lot of fun!  She will be appearing at Idol Camp from July 16-17, 2008 and she said that she is really excited to be able to work with the kids and help them prepare for the Idol process (should they choose to try out). 

We also spoke a bit about her past on Star Search and how there has been so much debate about the fact that current Idol contestant, David Archuleta, had been on Star Search as well.  Some have said it gives him an unfair advantage but, as Kimberly pointed out, all that sort of thing does is show that a person is really motivated and dedicated to becoming a star.  I agree with her (sorry guys). 

I also asked her about Idol Tonight and whether it’s as fun as it looks (she said yes!).  She has great on-screen chemistry with season one runner-up, Justin Guarini.  If you haven’t see it, you can view episodes (along with many other videos) by clicking here!
