“No Boundaries” Any Better With Kara DioGuardi Singing It?

So let’s just get this out of the way – I think “No Boundaries” could be the worst song an American Idol winner has had to record as their first single. It was co-written by Kara DioGuardi and, while I like a lot of the songs she has written, I’m just not feeling this one. It’s cheesy and pageanty in my opinion but I know that some people really like the song so I’m so sorry if I’ve offended you!
Anyway, a recording of Kara singing the song has popped up on YouTube and I think it speaks volumes about how insecure she is about criticism. Her very memorable showdown with Bikini Girl last season was the first sign and now it just seems like she’s determined to prove that this song really is good. I almost think it’s insulting to have this floating around since it almost feels like there’s a suggestion that Kris Allen didn’t do a good enough job. Maybe I’m just being overly sensitive but that’s what I got from it.
Either way, if you haven’t heard it, check it out and tell me what you think. I think that Kara definitely has a great voice and it does give the song a slightly different feel. While I do think it might be a little better than Kris’ version, it’s only by a marginal amount – I still don’t like this song.

and i do like the song by kris, but this one and adam’s are way over+roduced
I liked this song. But I don’t think that it’s good that she sings this song.
Because this song was produced so that Kris and Adam sing in AI, I think that a songwriter should not sing. (Though her song is wonderful…)
I don’t think the song is that bad to be honest. But Adam’s version wins, hands down.
Well a songwriter is allowed to sing ! Especially since she has such a beautiful voice. I guess singing songs that you gave to someone else and releasing it on the internet is not the best idea but a songwriter can also sing !
I do like this song a bit, I like Adam’s version best to be honest. I just can’t seem to get to the point where I really wanna listen to it. If it comes up on my ipod that’s cool but I never think ‘hey that’d be really cool to listen to no boundaries right now” !
Just my personal opinion here. I like Kris’s version better (contemporary) as it’s in the range between both Kara (too country-singer version) & Adam (too rockers version).
I think 3 of them have the rights to sing this song and let their fans decide whichever version they like best!
It’s actually a meaningful and inspiring song. “Weather the hurricane” is just a form of idiomatic expression in this song to stress on a really tough challenge to overcome in order to succeed, just like the whole process of being an AI!
