WOW!!!! I cannot believe what I am hearing! This lady from the National Action Against Obesity says that Jordin Sparks is a bad example and should not have won American Idol because she has “extra meat” on her bones - calls her a vision of “unhealth.” You gotta see it to believe it!

Jordan, looked thinner the other night. However, her mother did look a little hefty as well, so maybe its in the genes. To me she is a big beautiful doll
This is ridiculous! Jordin is beautiful! When she sees Jordin, she said she sees diabetes and heart disease? So when she sees gays does she see AIDS or when she sees blacks, does she see sickle cell disease? She’s a nutcase.

Jordin is 17 years old. Yes, she is a bit of a chubster but there’s two things: like Gerri said, her mom is hefty AND let me add that her father is a retired NFL footbal player!!!!! Has no one seen how tall Jordin is? She is never going to look skinny. NEVER!!!
Plus, she’s just a baby. Some people find that the weight melts off them as they begin their adult life - I’ve seen it with friends and even my older sister. WHATEVER!!!
That is just plain ridiculous! Whatever Jordin’s health is like and what she eats is her business . That woman did not need to come out and attack Jordin like that. Ouch.
Jordin is not even thinking about that comment. When she was intervied on Extra, the girl asked her if she heard about it and how she felt about the comment and Jordin was like oh please I’m not even thinking about that matter fact I just ate a taco and so what? So at least it is not affecting her. People always want to find SOMETHING to mess with anybody about. It’s sad but what can we do?! Remember when Simon said something to Mandisa about her weight and that ruffled the feathers of the National Association to Advance Fat Acceptance (NAAFA)…so no matter what somebody is going to complain about something.

Ouch. Whatever Jordin’s lifestyle is and whatever she eats is her business. She didn’t sign up for Health Idol. That woman did not need to attack Jordin like that. If I were Jordin I’d be pretty upset.

I think Jordin is a beautiful girl. Great personality, amazing smile and an uplifting spirit. I say we look up this lady and see what problems of hers we can point out to the public.

What?!? Is this a joke? That’s insane! Jordin is not obese. She’s big-boned and she’s a teenager who still has her baby fat. I cannot believe they devoted an entire “news” segment to Jordin’s weight. That is very disturbing. No wonder so many young girls develop low self-esteem and eating disorders. I hope Jordin ignores these people. She is a beautiful girl.

Look at all these stars that look like sticks and bones b/c our society is teaching us that the thinner you are the better off you are and it’s not realistic. Look at the Olsen girla and Nicole Richie…yeah there is a problem there. If skinny is healthy then why are all these girls seeking help and falling out? No wonder girls her age are dying of anorexia and bulimia. she is just a very cute larger girl and definitely not anorexic like the images that u see of most celebrities. Hopefully she will keep eating after this.
I think Jordin is a beautiful girl. I can see why they may say she is a bit chubby, but the comments made were crazy. I think she is a good example for the fact that she is NOT super skinny. It may help some girls realize that they do not have to be ultra thin to be beautiful. Being healthy is important, but comments like these can lead to anorexia and bulimia.

Do I think she is a bad example to kids? No.
But is she overweight? Yes.
Doesn’t make her less talented than she is, but she needs to lose weight. That’s just my opinion.

Not a fan of hers, but she’s a cute girl. She’s a bit heavy, not obese — but in size double-0 Hollywood she’s a moose. Hollywood is not so forgiving once you hit adulthood, so I think she will succumb to the pressure to get thinner. But hey, if you choose a career in the public spotlight, expect a lot of barbs and jabs.
