Actually, that school is in my area, which is four hours from Hollywood. But, yeah, it is a very impoverished area in some ways, being agriculture and whatnot. It is primarily farmworkers and the district the school’s in is not wealthy by any means.
    Any help is worthwhile.

    Dear Randy and Paula,

I grew up in Goshen CA and still have family living there. It saddens me to see how that small community has changed since I grew up there 32 yrs ago.

I’m glad that you two stopped there to see that this town is is dire need of change. Visalia has taken over parts of the town, but there has not been one bit of improvement. The drug and poverty situation is only getting worse and no body seems to care. People can’t afford to moved out of this run down town, so they just stay. People know who the drug dealers are and are totally afraid to say anything to the authorities… once incident that I know of, is one family/person that reported something to the police had their house burned down. Talk about fear.

How is this small community supposed to take back their town if no body (people in authority) want to help them do that?

The gang activity is totally out of control, but that’s the only way that they know and now you see it more and more in the Elementry school level. It needs to stop, and they “The People” don’t know what or how to do it.

Once again, thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedules to let the world know that a small town is slowly dieing and nobody seems to care to help it not happen.

    Sincerley,

    Dear Paula and Randy,

I think it was very sweet of you to visit that school. I bet it meant a lot to the kids to have people with your talent come to their school and let them know that you care.

I live in a pretty safe neighborhood but I’ve experienced what it’s like to live somewhere like that; when I visited New York a few years ago. It’s sad what those kids have to live with; but they are strong and they are becoming stronger knowing that you care. Thanks again for helping those kids in need and loving those less fortunate.
