Paula Abdul Planning a Daytime Talk Show?

GRAIN OF SALT ALERT – The National Enquirer is reporting that American Idol judge, Paula Abdul, is working on launching her own daytime talk show.  She’s alleged to have been meeting with CBS/Paramount to develop the program that could be on the air by next year.

What would the show be about?  “Paula envisions the new show focusing on issues that affect average people — plus an occasional celebrity guest.”

Hmmm… do you think this is true?  If you think it is, do you think this is a good idea?  I think it would be career suicide.  I kind of like Paula but she is very unpredictable and tends to end up in either bad or questionable situations.  I can’t imagine what celebrity would agree to be on her show and I would worry that someone would come on there and try to embarrass her.  Have you ever watched the Bonnie Hunt Show?  She’s tough and pretty together but she had her friend, Robin Williams, on and she couldn’t control him.  If Paula had a show, it could all end up a little bit like that, I think.
