Pickler Gets Picked for TV Series
American Idol finalist from Season 5, Kellie Pickler, has been picked to star in a television sitcom on Fox. The series which will focus on a small town girl (big surprise!).
The twist of the show is that Kellie finds out that her dad is the governor and they build a close, yet scrutinized father daughter relationship.
Congratulations to Kellie for picking up on this opportunity, but I don’t see it going for more than a few episodes past it’s pilot, that is if it even gets that far. Currently just a script has been requested.
If Fox is smart, they’ll debut it right next to an American Idol episode and feed off their existing audience.
