Results Show - Then There Were 11
According to our poll, this should be an open and shut case of who’s going home tonight. Sanjaya Malakar has 53 votes and the next closest is Brandon Rogers with 14 votes. We’ve been surprised before though, let’s see if it happens again.
It was shocking last night how many people messed up their words. Sometimes it was really apparent, but some you just couldn’t have hidden it.
Time for the group tribute song to Diana Ross. I wonder how much time the group spends each week putting these performances together? They still don’t do much for me, I consider them time-killers for the results episodes. I guess they possibly could be used to highlight the contestants ability to “perform” other than pure singing for commercial marketability. Who knows.
Time for some results, of course we won’t find out for sure until the final minutes, but we’ll at least know who’s safe.
- LaKisha: Safe
- Gina: Safe
- Brandon: Bottom 3
- Jordin: Safe
- Chris: Safe
- Melinda: Safe
- Phil: Bottom 3
- Chris: Safe
- Stephanie: Safe
- Blake: Safe
Before we find out if it’s Haley or Sanjaya joining Phil and Brandon in the bottom three, we have to take a commercial break and listen to Diana Ross sing. She appears drunk to me, far more than Paula ever does. Aside from that, I don’t think that she was that good. Now we can wait through another commercial break for the final results.
And the Bottom Three Contestants are:
- Brandon Rogers
- Phil Stacey
- Sanjaya Malakar
This has got to be our week to send Sanjaya home. Please let it be. YES! Phil just gets sent back to sit in safety for next week. Bottom of the votes though, he needs to turn it on.
Nearly 28,000,000 votes and they can’t send Sanjaya home. They send Brandon instead. Granted, he wasn’t going to hang around much longer, but what is the deal with Sanjaya still squeaking through? At least he was in the bottom three this week. The rest of the folks better turn it up again next week and make it not even funny the difference in skill between Sanjaya and the other 10 contestants.
