Rosie O’Donnell On Clay Aiken… Again…

I wrote this post over on my Daytime Talk blog and just decided to repost it exactly as I wrote it over there. Here it is:

*sigh* This woman has zero impulse control. I don’t hate Rosie O’Donnell or anything but she’s really, really starting to get on my nerves. She has this new book coming out called “Celebrity Detox” where she basically talks about everyone she’s ever met. Here’s what I read:

She gives yet another rambling explanation for her assault on Kelly Ripa. While hosting “The View” O’Donnell called Ripa a homophobe. She explains it this way, “So Clay Aiken went on Kelly Ripa’s show…it was clear to me that she didn’t like him, for whatever reason.”

She continues, “[After Aiken covered Ripa’s mouth with his hand, Ripa said, “I don’t know where that hand has been.”] So I said, on air the next day, that Kelly’s comment was homophobic….I am just saying that the whole incident looked to me like a gay person who had just had the gay card played on them. That’s how I saw it.”
