Sanjaya Talks About Paris Hilton
June 23, 2007 by Jeanne

I’m not sure why the media feel it necessary to ask every person they interview about Paris Hilton but I wasn’t surprised when the subject came up in a recent interview with American Idol season 6 contestant, Sanjaya Malakar. Here’s what he had to say:
“I would tell Paris Hilton, ‘Find yourself. I think she is at a point in her life where she does things to get publicity, and I don’t think she needs to do that. If she’s a legitimate person and people actually want to see her, then they’ll look for her. You don’t always have to put yourself out there. Sometimes you should, but sometimes it’s good to just lay back and let people find you. She shouldn’t force herself on people. That’s what I would tell her.”
Interesting… your thoughts?

Oh puh-lease Sanjaya. For all those interested, I just did a Paris Hilton parody post on my blog. Stop by and check it out:

Yeah Sanjaya needs to stop b/c he is all for the paparazzi…and being noticed…he is being a hypocrite in his statement. I mean he has pretty decent advice but err umm he needs to follow it.
I’d say that this is truly how Sanjaya feels about life and it’s solid advice. As for the person who believes that Sanjaya welcomes the media frenzy, I don’t think we have seen any evidence of that, in fact I think we have seen the opposite. Sanjaya is very grounded and has remained quite calm in the storm of press and seriously awful behavior by many in the media. If anything he should be the one that celebrities look to for an example. He handles himself beautifully.
Well said Sunny. I can only hope that Paris hears it objectively and responds favorably.
I agree that his advice to Paris is on point, unfortunately she is not going to follow any advice that makes sense. I also agree that the media is awful! Although Sanjaya has not really had a lot of paparazzi action, he also welcomes it to a certain extent. Granted most of the time you really can’t help it b/c they are brutal, but I really don’t think Sanjaya would hide or ask them to go away. If he does or would then hey, I was wrong but that is a good thing cuz we definitely have enough skinny dim-witted girls running around smiling for the cameras, so I really do hope he sticks to his guns on this one and follows his own advice.
