Syesha Mercado’s Parents Served Jail Time?
CelebTV uncovered the troubled past of Syesha Mercado’s parents who were arrested on many different counts and even served jail time. WOW!
This just made me like Syesha more. It’s hard to grow up with that kind of instability and have any semblance of normalcy. She is a strong young woman and I hope her success continues far past her days on American Idol.

Wow - shows she is truely human and I commend her for staying positive and changing the pattern. I hope her accomplishments inspire her parents to stay on the straight and narrow.

Sometimes, as humans, parents fall off and in so many cases we see the children follow suit but in this case, I think we should be happy for Syesha for staying positive. She is far from the typical stereotype and that should be the focus, NOT, what kind of role model her parents are or are not.
There are people in this world that have done bad things and have changed their life around for the better. People with small minds don’t believe in change and belittle those that have made mistakes in the past, BUT karma always comes back to bite ‘em in the butt! LOL

I don’t understand how or why Syesha has ANY influence over anything her parents do or don;t do. Everyone is responsible for their own actions and have to accept their own responsibility for those actions,It has nothing to do with belittlement or Karma.. lol

Syesha’s success can have a positive influence and motivation for others including her parents. I just feel that for people to put down others for their past misfortunes is not right. We should not judge them especially when they are making the effort to do better or in this case get clean. People are capeable of change is all I was saying and we should accept that and not belittle them by saying they were not good role models.
