Watch Adam Lambert on 20/20 Tonight!
June 12, 2009 by Jeanne
American Idol season 8 runner-up, Adam Lambert, will be on 20/20 tonight at 10pm ET. I know that a lot of people will be tuning in to hear what he has to say about his sexuality, the attractiveness of Kris Allen and the upcoming Idol tour.
He also talked about how his mother respected his preferences growing up and then one day asked him if he had a girlfriend (“no”), if he wanted one (“no”) and would he like to have a boyfriend (“that would be nice”). She said that all of a sudden, he couldn’t stop asking questions and …read more
David Archuleta Assumed Adam Lambert Was Gay
June 12, 2009 by Jeanne
American Idol season 7 runner-up, David Archuleta, wasn’t shocked when his season 8 counterpart, Adam Lambert, officially came out of the closet in a Rolling Stone interview.
While he was performing at the Children Uniting Nations gala in Washington, DC, he said: “I don’t think it was a big surprise. I don’t think he was trying to be all sneaky and secret about it. I’m sure he was happy with who he was and stuff, it’s not like he was ashamed. I just kind of assumed it, I think everyone else did too. I don’t think it’s a bad thing …read more
Adam Lambert Admits Being Gay, Had Crush on Kris Allen
June 9, 2009 by Jeanne
Adam Lambert has finally confirmed all the rumors – he is, in fact, gay. Of course, this can’t come as much of a surprise to most people. There were, however, a few revelations in his Rolling Stone interview that will raise a few eyebrows.
The biggie? He had a crush on American Idol winner, Kris Allen, who happened to be his roommate! Adam said: "He’s the one guy I found attractive on the show: nice, nonchalant, pretty and totally my type — except that he has a wife."
He describes his current boyfriend, Drake LaBry as "Cajun, voodoo-down, dreamy.” I certainly …read more
Adam Lambert Wins Young Hollywood Award, Talks Sexuality
June 8, 2009 by Jeanne
Adam Lambert, this year’s runner-up on American Idol, attended the Young Hollywood Awards last night and I think he looked great in his own unique way.
He was presented with the “Young Hollywood Artist of the Year” prize by Idol judge, Kara DioGuardi. She recently talked about his sexuality on The View and he was asked if was upset by her basically “outing” him on national television.
“No,” he said. “I mean their asking the same questions everyone else is asking and Kara was just being honest, she’s a good friend of mine now that we’ve recorded together and I don’t think …read more
Adam Lambert Enjoys a Mani-Pedi in LA
June 1, 2009 by Jeanne
American Idol season 8 runner-up, Adam Lambert, was spotting enjoying a mani-pedi (manicure and pedicure) at the Instyle Nails salon in West Hollywood. From what I’ve read on the internet, he chose black polish for his toes, of course. I guess he’s earning his “Glambert” nickname!
I have to say, though, that it’s really nice to see that his personality is all that it seemed to be while he was on the show. Every post-Idol interview and all of his candids show a fun-loving, happy and adorable personality. He’s probably the best “loser” this show has ever had (but can …read more
Kara DioGuardi Outs Lambert on The View
I know this was last week (I’m still catching up from the site renovations) but American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi was on The View and she looked tanned and beautiful. I don’t know if I’ve ever noticed how flawless her skin is but I digress…
Host, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, wasted no time and got right to the point. She wanted to know if Kara was as shocked as America (at large) was when Kris Allen was named the winner of this year’s competition since Adam Lambert had been considered the frontrunner for so long. It was a bit awkward when Kara clearly …read more
Adam Lambert on “Entertainment Weekly” Cover
May 8, 2009 by Jeanne
American Idol finalist, Adam Lambert, is featured on the cover of Entertainment Weekly and I’m not surprised at all. It seems like everyone is talking about his sexual orientation and I’m not sure whether it’s a good or a bad thing.
My first instinct is to say “who cares if he’s gay or straight as long as he sings well?” but then I realize that, for a lot of people, accepting someone who is not heterosexual is a big deal and it certainly is a sign of the times that the kid is still on the show.
The 27-year-old from San …read more
