Were the Chosen Songwriters Really Undiscovered?

Ugh, this just gets worse by the second. I cannot even keep up with it all. American Idol did something new this year by asking America to vote for the best “finale song” which was to be written by “undiscovered songwriters.” Well, my friends, the song that seemed written for Jordin does not seem to be the work of amateurs. Is Jordin Sparks Getting the Christian Vote?

Okay. I have no opinion about this either way so let’s just get that out of the way first. Second, I think that Jordin Sparks is a talented girl and a worthy contestant on American Idol. That said, I have wondered in the past how she has remained on the show after certain performances (like Bon Jovi week, ugh) but I am in no way, shape or form suggesting that this is the reason for Jordin’s votes.
