Lauren from Oz Music Scene alerted me to the fact that Australian Idol judge, Kyle Sandilands, has been fired from his job as a judge on Australian Idol.  This shocking turn of events happened after an on-air stunt went terribly wrong on Kyle’s morning radio show, 2Day FM.  How bad could it possibly be?  Pretty bad…

With all the chatter this morning, I thought it would be appropriate to review some of the confirmed controversies surrounding American Idol:
In an interview prior to the start of the fifth season of American Idol, Executive Producer Nigel Lythgoe revealed for the first time that Clay Aiken had led the fan voting every week from the Wild Card week onward until the finale, when the possibly-random voting result gave Ruben Studdard the win. Of course, the truth will probably never be known and Clay went on to have a great career but that is besides the point.
